Lukas was cornered by guilt, anxiety, depression and fear. Having no one to turn to, he succumbed to the shadows whispering in his ear. After reaching his place of solace, he took a syringe out of the pocket of his jacket. Before he inoculated himself, he cried out:

"The pain, the sorrow, the grief!
Oh Savior! Help me find relief!
Why does the world covet joy and pour only mischief?
Help me! I’m doubting my belief…

Drowning in the shadows of darkness and disdain,
I can no longer hide the truth that I am in pain...
Neither therapy nor prayers can save me, I’m going insane.
All of my life is wasted, everything is in vain!

Alas! I found my reverie!
An escape from the harshness of this world…away from all the cruelty
No more nightmares…no more anxiety
Only pure happiness…only pure ECSTACY

This euphoria awakened something inside that is insatiable
An urge that would haunt me whenever I am weak and vulnerable
I want to break free from the chains that bind me to this table
I’m engulfed by a feeling that is so irresistible

Why did this happen to me?
A poor soul who only wished to be happy
Now, I am trapped in this dark, twisted, and sick reality
Someone…anyone…please come and save me"

The first thing that I felt upon seeing this picture was pity. The person in the picture looks as if he really wants to stop. However, he cannot escape the insatiable urge that runs through his veins.
