So I think what you're saying is that the device is expensive for you, and so it disincentivizes you to get it to try to improve your behavior.

Naturally, an electronic device costs money. For some people, the devices aren't considered expensive, and you have to start somewhere. Perhaps if and when Volts tokens have value, and with a higher volume of Pavlok users, the devices will become less costly.
