My secret had lost its way
In the dawn before discovery
As a sheen of light on a golden staircase
Is seen in the memories of her visitors
A secret unleashed spread out naked before the holy sun
Dim and fragile over spring and lake
And the dry heart
The first river born
My secret had lost its way
In the overt fields moving deeper within her morning sun
Just as the soul of a star
Is protected in the reflective eyes of a little girl
A palm raised to receive the breaths of the windlight dew
My secret hope lost
Strewn among the warring times
Out from this singing storm a soldiers phantom
The challenged light of day
I warned her heart that witnessed
The cliffs and white sails in the far away
Prayers of the horseshoe stray
An accidental moon the mare gets her sea
To fight the deathless hope
Her god stoning that dream of night
For a secret

Very nice. You would think having been an English Lit major for a couple of semesters I would be able to come up with better comments for your poetry than very nice, yet here I am. I always enjoy reading your stuff.
