ADSactly Poetry : Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds (Part 25)

Hello Steemians! The ADSactly Poetry : Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds series is designed to be a sort of platform for sharing some of my greatest works with @adsactly readers.

Many of the verses I've shared and continue to share were written in collaboration with a friend of mine.

Others were written as solo projects and some made their way to the recording booth.

I've got another special piece for @adsactly readers today, this is a short verse which is designed for readers to 'sing-a-long'.

The background music I wrote it to has been embedded below. I dare you to give it a shot!

I really hope readers enjoy these and let me know what they think about them.

Every dynasty has its time to shine and the leader of the pack knows what time it is...

Up to a point and at a time when you're on top the lows just seem so far behind...

But when you hit the bottom on the rocks its hard to tell how we'll react and what would be on our minds.

I've had my shares of ups and lows and experience is what we collect like gold and if its a story to be told.

It's the story of my life it ain't such a story to know but...

Just another guy another poet with a bag full of why's tryin ta find a few answers and get just few of those why's off my list to lighten up my grind.

So I spark spliffs of sentiment and blow trees of belief break bread with the priests of peace cause I ain't about the other side. No I ain't about the other side. And if you get my drift guess you'll know what's in the other lines. Yah you'll know what's in the other lines.

So when I write these rhymes its like making a dynasty a love letter or a treatise with the light. Its about leavin a legacy so let each letter be just a little bit better than its enemy.

The enemy of light. Yah cause I represent right and I represent light I represent a bit of warmth to the icy cold sentiments of apathy... Aint that nice?

But what's a bark with no bite, a string with no kite to fly and I ain't about to lie... Guess we need to work at what we want even if the outcome 's a surprise, even if it ends up being yah if it ends up being the keys to our own demise. Kindness and truth above the lies that we tell ourselves. It's only good if we help ourselves.

This piece was very fun to create. It just came so easily and really was a lot of fun to perform. Give it a try yourself and see if you can find a nice cadence for it.

No matter what, I'd very much like to know your thoughts and feelings about these, what you liked or didn't like, I'd love to hear your opinion either way!

As you rightly say: experience is gold we collect! Every human being has his moment to shine, his moment to be at the top, to reach the goals, the stars. That's what life is all about. As always, it's a pity these lyrics don't have music! Or it will be that everyone has to decipher and put the music in his soul. Greetings, @zentalk.

My dear @zentalk, although I know that I haven't been at all complacent with your writings (I've never known if they exist as songs or the like), I always try to rescue some things for me from what you publish, of course, from my point of view. In that sense, I indicate my taste for two sentences from the last paragraph of your text: "But what's a bark with no bite, a string with no kite to fly (...)" and "Guess we need to work at what we want even if the outcome 's a surprise, even if it ends up being yah if it ends up being the keys to our own demise".
Deep, dense phrases, which I can't comment on now. Greetings.

Absolutely, as I know you well enough now to describe you as a critical thinker, artist, poet and scholar I also know you are able to look into my work and find value / connect with value if it moves you to do so! For this I'd like to say thank you. For your efforts in reading my work and giving feedback to me. Of that I find immense value and really value your support of my work. The first phrase you mentioned is discussing the point of 'completeness' or 'contentment' if something is tearing us in pieces or causing us discontentment, that is the specific thing we need to address immediately and try to resolve. We must feel content, complete and loved. That I believe holds the keys to happiness. We definitely need to work for what we want, it wont come without us first recognizing we want it and then aligning our body and spirit through our actions in an endless pursuit to get it! That's how we can build a future we can be proud of. All while living and remaining aware of the present moments (because thats the gift if we can recognize it and really be a part of it!). Take care.

Hello, @zentalk. I don't know if you read the posts I post on this blog about the founders of modern western poetry.

This is cool. I've never tried to sing along to this beat/rhyme, but it's fun to try.
I agree we have to be true to ourselves and do what is right, ven if it causes our demise. What's the point of living in fear and silence?

Awesome! Happy you liked this. We definitely need to get a goal and go for it, regardless of the outcome we will feel empowered and better for having tried. With good intentions, planning and execution we can make our lives better!

Wow.. I am singing along.. They are really inspiring I must say. Our minds can be eleveted with this. Thanks for sharing
