I just had someone reach out to me in Discord the other day talking about how they didn't realize just how bad the US has gotten. It's honestly a little scary to think that people outside the US don't think it is as bad as it is in general.

I'm getting the same picture from talking to friends throughout the world about the current state of America. News outlets outside of US don't seem to be conveying the full story, or maybe they aren't delving deeply enough. If the theory is true that the Associated Press is controlling most of the foreign media outlets then they could be tailoring stories for the regions. Such strange times we're living in. I feel like the curtain is being parted.

It's interesting because I see a fair number of mixed opinions about what is going on. I would expect most people would be shocked, but then some seem to think it's all okay. I'm also realizing that some of the veiled bigotry isn't just isolated to us here. It's rampant in various forms globally.
