To add just another small comment onto Steve's already wonderful critique/appraisal of this piece, I wanted to say how well chosen the title is! It puts a much more optimistic, sentimental slant on the melancholy of the lines themselves - turning something trapped into something kept and remembered. I get such a strong sense of memory overall, the world remembering itself in amber, the poet's own thoughts and memories finding a connection there. One of my favourites of yours, I have to say :)
Haha, Lazarus, I've expected the title to strike you)))) I know that this word is used by English people, not sure about Americans. I'm glad you saw optimistic notes in between of melancholies of the lines! And, oh wow!!!! You have a favourite piece of mine, haha, I can't believe it, because all I write seems silly to me...
