Which professional poker player would you invite to your home poker game?
I'm giving the age old Hollywood game of - If you could choose a celebrity, dead or alive, to have dinner with...who would it be - a poker twist. I often wonder how some of the well known poker players would fair at a standard home game. Would they get along with us mere poker mortals? Would they eat our food, smoke our weed, or laugh at our jokes? Perhaps the most interesting question - - would they be able to withstand the donktastic poker play that plagues us shitty players?

- Daniel Negreanu - in my mind, the best poker player of all time.
- Stu Unger - this man's raw talent at poker, may never be matched in the history of time.
- Dolye 'Texas Dolly' Brunson - just an old school bad ass...can you imagine the stories?!
- Phil Laak - I feel a class clown is a must - and I bet he tokes away like no other.
- Vanessa Rousso - quite hot and a lethal fucking poker player.
- Bigpchef - well duh, how else would I experience a home game with these greats?

Does Nate or Smitty from Barstool count? Not sure they're considered professional, but they were at least in the WSOP and Nate made a nice run. I just have a feeling any of the Barstool guys would be fun as shit to hang out and drink with. Add poker and we'd just have a hell of a night

Ever heard of Barstool Sports? It's just two dudes who blog for them. Fantasy Labs thought it would be a good marketing idea to put them in the WSOP so they covered the entry fee.

I'm a big fan of Negreanu I'd invite him and Andy Bloch to my table.
Nice! Both excellent players. D.N. is a poker god. He not too long ago listed his rank among others in several categories, he was ranked # 1 in nearly all of them.
I'd have a table full of players about to lose their fucking minds. Phil Helmuth sitting next to Sam Grizzle, Howard Lederer next to Daniel Ngranu, Russ Hamilton, thatfuckingcheater, and me right in the middle.
Howard would be epic. I would really want to hear his take on Full Tilt and the scamminess involved.
i wouldnt invite any pro player to my house. Don't trust them and cannot read when they are lying. BUT, I would bring some of SPL to play. They are terrible liers. :)
They are all millionaires, what is there not to trust about them? They don't need to steal from us.
if they would steal your money on the table, do you think you should trust them with your home. But its not the worry of the stealing, just trust in general. Actually im not sure I would want to play with them for a couple reasons. ONE: I would loose everything I had... TWO: Most pros I have met or played with are arrogant as fuck.
Ha, that's a valid point. Although, if it was a true home game, I would hope that we would be playing for "friendly" stakes. And -- damn, that is unfortunate. I have taken a picture with Gus Hansen and Eric Slidel...they were nice enough. But it was a 10 second interaction, not like we were hanging out or anything. I asked for a pic, they were cool about it.
It would be a fun experience to have a friendly game with some pros. Head to head action would be sick.
Doyle Brunson - Have to have the legend
Jennifer Tilly - She'd take all my money and probably drink me under the table. Then I'd propose.
Scotty Nguyen - He's a classic. "You call, it's all going to be over baby!"
Sam Farha - Just for the staredown. He'd blow smoke in my face and I would spit tobacco juice in his eye.
Mike Matusow - Only so I would be the second biggest donk at the table. Good for a laugh when he loses it.
Chops 316 - My house. I'll crank up some Slayer and throw all of them off their game. Hell Awaits!
I'd invite Negreanu, he seems like a cool guy, but I'm convinced he can read minds. Helmuth is out, I'd probably end up killing him. Dwan is out too because I don't think I could resist slapping that stupid look off his face.

Wow! Very cool. On my list, I have only seen Phil Laak irl. He zoomed past me in at the Bellagio with a backpack on. I assume he had millions in there and was headed to the poker room. Lol.

I would probably invite Hellmuth, Dani, Doug Polk, Kitai, some friends and couple bottles of liquor to come along. The game will turn to mess with all those guys. I will be pretty sure to lost a lot but having a blast looking at everyone making fun of Phill after a bad beat or Doug shoving ten-Deuce cause he drunk to much :p
