Possibly, if we can manage to get some good progressives into the House and Senate as well. But if it's another politician in the pocket of big pharma then I'm not enthusiastic.
Big Pharma has a tight grip on both the Republican and Democratic Parties. First, we need to take money out of politics and vote out the old guard who continue to push the negative stereotype of Cannabis.
I'm curious what the changes to healthcare and criminal justice in Canada will be like. If the the improvement to their health and economy is large enough, It may lead to further expansion in the US.
I'm a cancer survivor and cannabis does more to help me with pain relief than any prescription opiate provided by my doctors. It's a shame that my state has totally fumbled legalization and turned over the process to the Liquor Control Commission. Medical Marijuana is disappearing here. Cannabis needs to be treated as a medicine, not a vice.

Aceh is a fertile place for cannabis plants, but for national cannabis legalization movement must be work to hard.
The Senate doesn't have the power to stop it Canada, they can only slow it.
I'm still surprised how slow western democracies have been at this, time to legalize, tax and regulate drugs!
