We value things because they strike an emotional chord in us. Whether we keep, gain, or lose something we value, we experience strong emotions as a result of the event.
It is not often we gain a priceless treasure and suffer the extremity of grief as a result. Propaganda has so affected me, and I have had to twice now pause it and walk away until I could stand it again. I still have 1/3 of the film to go, but I have already realized how important it is.
One thing it confirms I know: the enemy of your enemy is not your friend. It is usually just another enemy. Filmed in New Zealand and released to critical acclaim in 2012, I am revealed by it to be woefully ignorant of my world, yet know it far better now that I have watched but part of this movie. I have been researching and honestly appraising world events for 50 odd years, and thought I could not fail to grasp how the world works. In many respects I was right.
In critical aspects, I was wrong. ATM I alternate between nausea and wanting to weep, and I am glad of it. I rejoice that I have the capacity that those yet ignorant of their complicity in genocide do not. Shame enables us to become human, transcending mere animals to stand capable of good, because we are culpable of evil.
It is our realization of our ability to do things that matter that underlies honest self respect, and conceit to believe in ourselves absent ruthless fulfillment of the responsibilities such power brings. I expect shortly to regain my composure as I recognize my incapacity to be better than I am. Not taking myself seriously blunts every blow that bludgeons the buffoon I am.
Pity psychopaths capable of war crimes. Their inhumanity dulls and blunts their joy insofar as they manage to dehumanize people, until they are but faint simulacra of those they murder.
A day comes when what has been hidden is revealed, ignorance is informed, and we will rejoice in the good company of our fellows.
They will not, because they will be blinded, by their own dehumanization of others reflected onto them in the mirror of their mind's eye, to see that happy day as anything but an opportunity to prey.

Normal daily life is the preferred state. People want stability and low volatility. Even in their heads, they don't like unpleasant facts. It keeps you from operating as a mother, a nurse, a construction worker, a teacher, a preacher, a local politician. Everyone has an optimal set of lies he unconsciously chooses to believe.
Some individuals don't want those lies, they a curious for facts, but often those facts don't yield any competitive edge when you don't know how to digest them and to transform them into positive actions for your benefits, it's basically worthless.
lets be honest, deep within anybody with an normal IQ knows how human society functions and that it does not matter to know exactly which word ot the politician is a lie, because the important ones are lies for sure. Maybe they talk about real scientific facts like a change in our climate state, but as sockpuppets they abuse it for industrial propaganda made by Volkswagen-Daimler-Benz, or they work in the name of Bayer-Monsanto or Kalaschnikow, Tyssen Krupp, Phillip Morris Tabacco, the American Petrol Companies or what ever. Its all just marketing. And our will to obey aka. avoiding cognitive dissonance. And for us it often realy works fine. Didn't you ever regret to dig down political rabbit holes? No. In grade school as a child I noted the political dynamic and defied those that sought to bend me to their will. I lost a fight once with every single athlete in the school, about 40 kids, then was beaten by the Principal, and THEN by my father when I got home. LOL

From geopolitical perspective, enemy of my enemy is still my enemy. Summa sedes non capit duos. There can be only one global power, and ultimately only one crown to which all must capitulate.
Humans are ruled more by their fate than they wish to admit; it is not the pitiful abilities of individuals that matter but the supreme will of the Creator. Humans are but accessory in the Heavenly melodrama of creation. The sooner individuals accept their place and obligations in the grand social order, the better the course of mankind's history.
Not surprisingly, I do not agree. Allying with enemies to destroy other enemies, as Stalin and Hitler revealed, but weakens you militarily, and destroys your integrity.

As to the role of fate and the purpose of the Creator, I may not comment, as my opinion of such things is immaterial to any but me. However, acceptance of our place as proven sovereigns of our selves is indeed recommended, however futile it may seem in the face of the demoralizing propaganda we are inundated with.

The first and only lesson men ought to master is obedience.
That's not the issue. The issue under discussion is that the Palestinian's refusal to obey overlords proves that obedience is not mandatory. However, now that you bring it up, you point out the harm that is done to them for refusing to bend the knee.
