I often wonder what it is that makes people express themselves creatively and I can find no better answer than that it is the closest way we can come to bare our souls to others, so they can see us for who we truly are; not by the product of the creative action but by creative expression itself. And while it is nice to be identified as homo sapiens (a wise man), homo creatrix ( a creative man ) would describe us so much better, and it is such a shame that so many suppress or fail to discover the creative being that they are meant to be.

Love the message too. I've always thought about photography as a way to express myself while still hiding my inner self vs writing which seems so soul baring... But you are right. I guess I'm just more comfortable with photography as that outlet.

And thank you, for me it is the same thing - visual expression of self seems closer to me than verbal one. And it comes more naturally than writing. ALthough I imagine for some it is the other way around. The most important thing is to find what it is and let it take over! :)
I think I need to work on the letting it take over part. Stop viewing it as a way to hide my true self... I wonder what will come of my work. ;-) You may have just sparked something.

I am so glad to read this! After all inspiring others is such a rewarding feeling. Everyone have their own approach to artistic expression - some have to plan it, sketch it, prepare for it and then execute it perfectly. Some just do as they feel and see what comes out of it, they immerge into the moment and create right on spot. I am the second one and the surprise of what you have as a result is unexplainably pleasing. :) The most important thing is just try and then your cretaivite will take you to the place you have to be to create something that wants to be created. :)

Beautiful and expressive work! Reading through the comments I see this is a self portrait, something I’ve been wanting to try for a while now, it’s creating art from your own expression, there’s something quite powerful about that. Thank you for your kind words! Yes, self portraits is an interesting terrain to explore as it is more challenging - dealing with composition, set up and posing. But in the end it is also very fun. You should definitely try it! I just checked your work, fantatsic! Definitely keeping up with your updates too! :)
I'll definitely be trying it soon, thank you for your compliments! I think it's the overall posing and expression I'd struggle with to start, as it's far more easier to be on the other end of the camera for me. But images like this one, really interest me, the overall lighting and composition are perfect and the pose is fantastic, has inspired me for sure, can't way to see more and try it myself!
The answer to the struggle is just try. Eventually you will catch on what works best and how to achieve the feeling you want to achieve. And sure, being the subject of the photo yourself is always much more vulnerable, but it is the reason why I like it so much I guess. It takes courage. :)
