Using positive self talk is very good for you as a person, and it will help you get through hard times because it allows you to soothe yourself. You will find that there are many things you may do to make a change in your life, but talking to yourself in a positive way is very good for you overall. You will make choices that are good for you, and you will feel as though you are making a change that is internal. You can combat any problems that you have in your life when you are using positive self talk because you are the one who creates it, and you may build an endless stream of good things to say to yourself.

Tony Robbins is a big believer in this and used it personally to become a GIANT today.
I'm a big fan of the Headspace app. I'm using it on a regular basis. One key message I've pickup up there is that trying to "out think" yourself is not going to work. It's not going to be effective to try to replace negative thoughts with positive ones. What is effective, the app claims, is to distance yourself from the thoughts, and simply observe them. Once you're able to do this, you can easily let negative thoughts go.

Sometimes problem can come from anywhere and of we are not ready to face it, we will be trap at that trouble
I agree and I practice it. I do, however, sometimes meet people who seek to do it, but because they don't really, truly believe in the words they tell themselves, it seems to have a reverse effect. I've never heard this being addressed by anyone, but I'd be interested to hear any thoughts you may have on it.
Start speaking positively and keep repeating it and you'll end up believing it. And your belief will change you.

Completely agree and so true , sometimes when I'm depressed or with just any problems I look in a mirror as if I'm conversing with my 2nd personality and talking positive giving idea to become better be happier !
I try this all the time but then I normally finish my sentence with 'this is bullshit'! I do believe it works if you train yourself and practice.
I agree with you! It also helps you relieve stress and anxiety ( based on my own experience only) because I do it a lot of time specially when I'm not so sure what I will do in life :)
