Powering down of 300 Hive Power (2022.03.14)

in #powerdown3 years ago (edited)

Yes. Seriously. A few minutes ago I started a power down of 300 Hive Power.

I really have not planned powering down, but I had enough of the incoming cents, so I decided to do everything to reach my goal. Everything. Literally everything. This means that I am willing to even completely power down my Hive account, if necessary.

Unfortunately seeing the incoming cents, looks like it will be necessary, and it is still not sure that I will reach my goal.

If I will not earn enough for an RV, then I will buy and live in an SUV or in a simple car.

Of course I am aware that I will lose my four hours per day part time job in any of these cases, so I will have to live literally on my approximately $250 USD per month pension-like income for my multiple disabilities.

But I do not care anymore.

All that matters is that I will live happily and freely with my Harris's hawk. Even if I will have to live in a simple car.

Of course I will cancel my mobile internet subscription in that case to save money. Better to save a monthly expense of approximately $15 USD than earning a few cents or a few dollars.

I am really tired of this struggling. I do not want to struggle.

My first advice would be stick to a community, add value to the members and help the community grow with your excellent writing. Interact, engage, and share any improvement plan you may have through your writing. But do not make the community seniors think that they have done shit so far as of course, they always plan to bring what's better for the community.

To find a suitable community, look into their payouts, active members/posters, average response. I believe you are already doing it.

Participate in contests, you will introduce yourself to a wide range of users. Also more upvotes will follow, but, remember, more upvotes don't mean more payouts. So, finding a supportive community should be your first priority.

Hope you find something really helpful soon.

I believe you are already doing it.

I am doing the being active in communities and in challenges/contests part. I regularly post and comment to Splinterlands (including card giveaways) and to Hive Gaming (mostly about League of Legends: Wild Rift), and I am socially active. I am in the top 10-20 of the engagement league. Sometimes I post into the Feathered Friends community (mostly about my Harris's hawk), but nowadays I mostly upvote posts/comments, and I write comments in this community. Sometimes I also partiicipate in #WednesdayWalk and in #MarketFriday, but nowadays I rarely. Occasionaly I participate in other contest/challenges.

Thank you for trying to help me.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Instead of being a random commenter, try to reply to the users who prioritize your opinion and offer constructive criticism. This way, not only you are building rapport with others but winning a chance to be invited in their community. For example, @galenkp is such a person who is always willing to listen to your words and help you in needs. Try to participate in his #weekend prompts.

Based in your activity, you can post frequently on #haveyoubeenhere. But as always, offer your best. Do not just post to make money but to strengthen the community- rewards will follow. And of course, you are welcome to #bdcommunity. We are very supportive here and pass quality time on discord channel as well.

Again, as hive is mainly focused on blogging, you can follow #freewriters to keep your writing flow uninterrupted. They arrange frequent contests every week.

Last but not least, build a local community to share ups and downs. Who knows the most helpful person could be just a click away.

For example, @galenkp is such a person who is always willing to listen to your words and help you in needs. Try to participate in his #weekend prompts.

I know. I already commented under his weekend engagement posts a few times. And I also commented under other people's weekend engagement posts, but I have not created a related post so far, just/only comments.

Thank you for the invite, and I confirm that the BDCommunity is indeed very supportive. I received upvotes from them in the past.

Thank you for the encouragement and for the motivation/inspiration.

Thanks for the mention and your kind words which I appreciate greatly.

I also like what you said in your comment: Do not just post to make money but to strengthen the community- rewards will follow.

It's true indeed. I guess, we all reap from the harvest we sow.

Some will plant seeds, nurture and feed them and help them sprout and grow into a bounteous harvest...Some will not, preferring instead to sit back and wait for a bounteous harvest to fall in their lap for no effort at all, or simply because they ask it to.

We each need to choose what we want to do, and will receive rewards commensurate to our behaviours.

Here's a chunky upvote to show appreciation for your responsible comment that talks about ownership and the benefits of showing it.

Thanks man for your supportive comment. Like you said, we are responsible for what we get; the question is, what's your contribution to it. The harder you try, the better your rewards will be.

Many thanks for the rewards I just received 🙂🤜🤛

You're welcome, I liked your comment and felt it was worthy of a little uppy. (Upvote)

Sorry to hear this, but, you do know that if Hive goes up to 2.00 or even three, you will be comfortable and able to afford winter. If it does, you will have over $3000 - probably more. So, sit tight and just do what you are doing. Maybe change up what you write and where you are posting. Join communities that you have an interest in.

To be honest, my money has been going to different places to support Ukraine. I am devastated that children are being ripped from life as they knew it, older people cannot travel, people are running for their lives. I am horrified and I will spend my last dollar on them if it will help in any way.

You are a better man than to air your dirty laundry. Life isn't fair. But, you have persevered. I have a feeling that you will be okay for next winter.

Maybe change up what you write and where you are posting. Join communities that you have an interest in.

I am actively posting in Splinterlands and in Hive Gaming. Sometimes I receive support from the latter. Sometimes I also post in LeoFinance, and sometimes I also receive support from them, but I will try to look for more communities. I already posted/commented in some of them (for example I posted a few photos about my Harris's hawk in the Feathered Friends community, and i received support from there too in the previous months).

I have a feeling that you will be okay for next winter.

I really hope that this will be true.

Thank you so much again for the support.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Keep your head up, othrwise you'll miss the sunshine.

Really sorry to hear you going through these though times I hope you still try to stay active as much as you can even if it's free wifi at some place those little bits you earn hopefully can grow in the future, best of luck in all

I have not started powering down my whole Hive account so far. 300 Hive is just/only a small percentage (21.72%) of the total amount (1380.748) of Hive Power in my account.

This is depending on the Hive community. If I get enough support before the next winter (in the next eight or nine months) to buy and live in an RV, then I will stay on the internet. Otherwise I have to buy an SUV or a simple car, and live in that. Or simply become homeless again. The free Wi-Fi will be my smallest problem in that case.

I was homeless multiple times in my life, so I know from personal experience what it is. Looks like I have to get used to it.

Damn I hear that, I hope the price bounces back soon and helps get you back on your feet

I’m sorry to hear that you’re not earning enough to support yourself on hive mate. You’ve been here a long time. Maybe look at places to stake coins that may generate a reasonable income. I’m testing out PolyCub but it is too early to say how that will go.

I do not even want to live off of my Hive blockchain income. All I would like is to have $3000 USD before the next winter (in the next eight or nine months) to buy and live in an RV. But I am earning mostly cents with my posts/comments, no matter what I do. Not even the engagement (I am in/around the top 10) and being consistent helps. I am earning mostly cents, no matter what I do.

Today I have around $1082 HBD in savings, so I need to earn around $1918 HBD before the next winter (in the next eight or nine months). Sounds close to impossible, seeing mostly the incoming cents or a few dollars.

I still do not give up before the next winter. I will remain consistent, and I will do everything to reach the goal.

Some people post something, and have a pending payout of $30 in the first hour after the posting. I post something, and I often have a pending payout of $0.30 even days after the posting.

But if I post three or four (or more times) per day, then these cents will add up in the long run, and hopefully I will reach my goal.

I find that posting about the current trending topic results in good earnings. Perhaps throw some of your Hive/Leo into PolyCub and write about your experience? You could earn some passive income and earn more through writing about your experience. Something to think about perhaps.

I read from some people that they lost a lot of money in that, and I do not want to risk my hard earned Hive. But thank you for the advice/suggestion.

It is so sad. I don't live in Hungary or Ukraine but things are not good here either. Every day Bulgaria takes in a lot of refugees or people who want to pass through our country. Because of the majority of people in our country now and the increasing consumption of these people there is a huge collapse of our economy right now. Life has become extremely expensive. Mainly women and children are coming into our state, and right now our government is wondering how to get these children into school - meaning programs maybe in their language and teachers.

What I can offer as an option is to use other platforms. I use read.cash. I make some money there, but I'm not very active either. Maybe if I posted more often my income would be greater. Bitcoin Cash is earned and a wallet is required at botcoin.com as you can then transfer the crypto currency to whichever exchange you prefer.

I was wondering why you put your HBDs in Savings?

Right now the price a Hive is low compared to December last year and you will get more from an HBD by counting coins. But it all adds up what the price is in the exchange.

I took a look at read.cash. It looks similar to Hive. Not in design, but in nature. The first things I saw was a boosted post. But maybe it is worth a try.

I was wondering why you put your HBDs in Savings?

To earn interest (currently 12% APR) on it. There is a monthly interest payment on HBD savings. This also helps me to reach my goal. Even if just/only a little.

Thank you for the support.

Hivebits blends Hive's blockchain and Bitcoin's ethos. Your effort = your reward. Mine HBIT simply with ! hivebits (no space) or ! HBIT (no space), 1-per-day. Success! You mined .9 HBIT and the user you replied to received .1 HBIT on your behalf. You can receive 100% of the HBIT by replying to one of your own posts or comments. Or, support Hivebits at the official HBIT mine | your wallet | market | tools | connect | <><

Confirmation replies are currently on, but they'll go off when Resource Credits (RCs) get low. Your hivebits command will still go through and you'll get your HBIT.

Everybody is struggling in some way or another x)
But I hope it works out buddy ^^

Everybody is struggling in some way or another x)

Soon I will stop struggling. I will live freely and peacefully with my Harris's hawk. On my low (approximately $250 USD per month) pension-like income. One way or another.

But I hope it works out buddy ^^

One way or the another it will. This completely depends on the help and the support of the Hive community. If I will keep earning mostly cents, then I will cancel my mobile internet subscription in order to save money (approximately $15 USD per month).

Yeah, ok, bye

Do not get me wrong, and do not take this personally. You helped me a lot, and I am very grateful and very happy for that. You made it possible for me to financially get through this winter.

But seriously. What else should I do after constantly earning cents, or even a fraction of a cent, like $0.006 HBD?

If this continues on the long run, then it is obvious that even the monthly subscription of my mobile internet cost more what I earn with the Hive blockchain.

And I am constantly, consistently/regularly active. Both with posting, with commenting and with curating too. I am in/around the top 10 of the engagement league. And yet, my earnings are keep getting lower and lower.

So why should I (or anyone) would do this at a financial loss?
Especially someone (me), who lives under the local minimum wage.

Sorry. Maybe the huge desperation makes me write this, but I am really very tired of the struggling.

I am sorry that the daily income is not keeping up with your needs, and you have had to shut down, it is true, the compensations have decreased significantly.
I hope this situation improves soonHello dear friend @xplosive good afternoon

Hopefully. I have eight or nine months until the next winter. Hopefully something good will happen before that.
Thank you for the support.

I understand you, in France I earn, by combining social aid and salary, barely the price of my rent, I often think of squatting in an abandoned house, putting the electricity back in the wild, to save money , courage, and if life on the roads makes you happier, write about your truck trips
