Here is the basil and curly parsley...I put a couple basil seeds in the dill pod that never grew, so we will see if they pop up. If not I will remove the pod and replant it with fresh basil. (we love pesto, so can never have too much basil)
On to the Tomatoes and lettuce. Tomatoes are in the two outer pods in the back, and the front center. Lettuce in the other 4 pods...
The brown background is a wool blanket on the wall for a bit more insulation...and between that and the silk cover it seems to be holding the warmth well enough for tomato seedlings. We have had a couple warmer days, up in the 40s F, but nights are still in the single digits to teens. Looks like we have a big snow coming in the next couple days too.
Electric update, we saw no visible increase in our electric usage for the last month, with the 2 Aerogardens and the big LED light on for 6 hours a day every day.
Thanks for reading! If you would like to look back on previous updates they are listed below...This is a Steemit original.

They look lush. Nice indoor set up
Thanks :) They do seem to be growing very well, I am excited for salad!!
Looking very healthy there obviously doing something right hey! Happy eating 💯🐒
Thanks :) They do seem to be growing very well...
Wow! look at them grow so fast, and what great results with the LED! 👍🏽
Yeah, I am amazed, and hardly any electricity which is awesome! We could run these on solar or other alternative energy with no problem... They seem to love the hydro though, I have never seen basil grow so fast.
Not only did the basil explode it looks tasty too!
It does, right? I am dying to eat some, but trying to wait until it branches one more time! I just plucked the tops again tonight...
Makes me wonder if Basil don't like being watched, sure
grew a lot while gone :-) Very nice setup!
It smells so good too! hehe, shy basil...it could be :)
We just got a basil plant for our window sill. Those pod thingies look soo cool. Is there a trick to get basil to grow the best? We always seem to kill our potted basil.
Agreed, lots of water. Mine never lived indoors until I bought a couple aeroponic starts and kept them hydroponic. Hill Billy style, lol. I used two old dollar tree damp rid containers for pots. Planted them in soil and kept 1" of water in the containers. With a plastic bag over the top. Occasionally a few days with no water. they are doing so well, I am taking them on a move across country with me!
beautiful :) maybe I need to make a little greenhouse with a bag over mine too.
I am not sure if there is a trick to it. Basil has always grown well for me. I think it knows how much I love it...
It does seem to like alot of water though. In soil I always but basil in a pot with a water reservoir...and now this aerogarden is all water with no soil, just a peat pod to start them. We do use filtered water or rain water for the plants too...no straight tap water.
