Agreed, lots of water. Mine never lived indoors until I bought a couple aeroponic starts and kept them hydroponic. Hill Billy style, lol. I used two old dollar tree damp rid containers for pots. Planted them in soil and kept 1" of water in the containers. With a plastic bag over the top. Occasionally a few days with no water. they are doing so well, I am taking them on a move across country with me!5877D048-CC1B-49CE-A8B9-E0DC77F109B3.jpeg

I am not sure if there is a trick to it. Basil has always grown well for me. I think it knows how much I love it...

It does seem to like alot of water though. In soil I always but basil in a pot with a water reservoir...and now this aerogarden is all water with no soil, just a peat pod to start them. We do use filtered water or rain water for the plants too...no straight tap water.
