HIVE going moon? Told you so a month ago

in #price3 years ago (edited)

Hive is indeed going nuts

Like I predicted, when I told you to keep your eyes on the price.

When to sell?

Every gambler knows, that the secret to survival
Is knowing what to throw away and knowing what to keep.

Last night, I stayed up late, watching the price go ballistic.
I had itchy fingers; I could not decide whether I should sell some to buy back cheaper this morning or if I should just wait this one out and trust in the general uptrend.

I woke up to HIVE's latest all-time-high, lol

You should not sell anything, if you do not expect to be able to buy back cheaper some point later.

I am bullish on HIVE long-term, but this cycle seems so predictable, I have to do some trades.

No matter which way it goes, I am not going all-in. I got burned hard with that strategy;
Hive has established its own dynamic, its own momentum, while BTC is moving sideways.
This is great, but also makes it harder to predict.

*Insert meme of Leonidas King of Spartans booting a bunch of disbelieving coins down that bottomless hole, shouting 'THIS IS GRAPHENE'

I expected the price to go this direction, but now I am surprised how strong this momentum is and how accurate my prediction was. This is madness!

New Goal?

Fuck if I know what my next goal should be.

image.png

I will not start thinking about selling for anything less than 3 HBD/HIVE, moving the goal post further and further...
Remember: I am also expecting a massive correction following the boom.
Where will it turn, where will it bottom out and when?

I will have to take a step back before I can come up with a new prediction.
I am confused and overwhelmed.

For now, I just wanted to brag and say:

I fucking told you so!

It's really hurting me,though I sold most of my own hive investment to support my poultry business. Maybe I should have just opted for loan and leave my hive investment.😭😭😭

Investing in your business was the right decision.
Hive has little substance, a farm can always feed you.

Hmmmmm!
That's the truth.
I see sense there🤔

What @felixxx said. Never regret that. Good luck to your business.

Yeap buddy
I really appreciate 🙌🏿

The bull is raging. Haha. The value of my account went up to $1270.05 USD. This is almost like five months of pension-like income for me.

I cracked the 6 figures for a short moment there.
Believe me, that is a lot of money anywhere in the world.

As much as I love what I see, this image.png

seems not sustainable, with this little volume.
But I also would not sell, because if it NOT comes back, it would hurt even more.
If you don´t need the money, I would just keep it.
But then I would also power up more, if I would be you. That 13% API is an extra bonus.

My thought process is usually like this:

Let's say I have 50,000 HIVE.
If I sell 10% at 1.9$, I get 9,500$.

If price rises to 5$, I could have 250,000$. But I actually have 225,000$ + 9,500$. I missed out on 15,500$.
If price falls to 0.5$, I have 25,000$ plus 9,500$.

If the price rises or drops even more, the differences could be bigger, but the primary question is whether the difference is worth the risk. That's an individual question though, as you correctly said: "If you don´t need the money".

Seems reasonable!

I have already gotten my 13% this year and then some, just from trading the short pumps.

I have of course noticed the small volume.
I have watched the pumps and dumps for 5 years, hardly ever capitalized on them.
This time around, I have a good idea of what I am doing, where I am going with this.

This market is so small still and there are so few hands in it that any technical analysis will fail. It's all about sentiment, emotions and gambling.
Technically there was no reason to pump now.
Maybe there just is not enough HIVE circulating on the exchanges. Think about it: The people who are still here after all this time are sitting on their coins. All the weak hands sold years ago.

TL;DR: I know I am gambling, but I trust my read

I have a crazy theory. What if just by chance some heavy sellers (maybe some Justin Sun fans) have run out of money or interest? So what´s left is the buyers. Then this trend could continue longer. Or some Hive witnesses who routinely sell a lot stopped selling because of all the airdrops around the corner.

Anyway, happy gambling!

I am confused, honestly: I am expecting the uptrend to continue, I have not sold. It is also what I am writing above:

I will not start thinking about selling for anything less than 3 HBD/HIVE

You are not the only acting like I sold too early... perhaps the introduction of the posts makes it sound like it?

Your crazy theory is the excact same thing I have said 1 comment above.

I am not trying to win any arguments, I want to figure out when to sell and when to buy back.

sorry, then I read your post too fast.

Although it would be logical to think of selling some #Hive tokens, we must trust the power that we have been acquiring and save our tokens for the future that awaits us, which will be even brighter.

Gran predicción amigo sigamos confiando en la mejor cadena de bloques la de #Hive

These price predictions always end up biting you in the ass, just now a quick Btc pump happened and quick Hive dump followed. Who knows how these charts will look tomorrow, specially in one month. Hodl.

So far I have made very few predictions and only 2 this year and they both were spot on.

Just now, HIVE is back to where it was when I left it before lunch.

I am not going to fucking HODL through the pump again just to see it drop afterwards, leaving me with no profit (again).

Hodl until larger pump, then sell. If Btc goes to 100k Hive can easily go to 10$. But right now it's still early to sell imo.

That is exactly what I said in the post: I have moved the goal to 3$ for now, before I even start thinking about selling.

(...I have gambled 1000 HIVE on a short dip, just so that I can take my mind of the big amounts, but I am not going to sell now.)

3 HIVE/HBD

You mean 3 USD/HIVE, don't you?

I also think this time we'll see higher sustainable price levels.
It's not a pump and dump like doge.
But if robin hood minded traders are discovering hive as a new star on the crypto sky, much higher prices can be seen soon.

I meant 3 HBD/HIVE. Thanks!

I like the post, but I think that was an undeserved 'I told you so'. Have you seen the posts on this platform? EVERYONE has been telling me so since Hive was born :D

...but I am not everyone :D
I kept quiet about these things for years now.

I withdraw my criticism, and admire your restraint :)

Alas, I did not converted my HBD to Hive. And now I am gone with HBD which is only $1.
You predicted great 😊😊😊

I would love to know these things... instead I am always surprised by the ups and downs 😂

Not sure, if I am happy about it myself.
This is incredibly stressful for me, should have just kept blogging and be happy with what I have - Now I can not go back without regret. Would have, could have, should have... Once you walk through that door and bet your money like this, it is hard to walk away from it.

It's really great to see the price going up and i love your painting :D

Set you in my fav list now. Hope to see more predictions for the future :P

Free advice: Stop delegating, start voting.

I read an article by you about a year ago. That you never auto-voted etc.. Was pretty interesting to see the gains in HP you made.

Is voting much better than delegating if a person hasn't a lot of time? I have days am really active on here, and then I have 5-6 days I barely have time for anything.

But I will take your advice and undelegate now.

if a person hasn't a lot of time?

@ 100% upvotes, you got 10 votes/day.
10 clicks per day does not take much time, I think.

Of course, you do not want to waste your voting mana, so if you can not vote for days in a row, it is probably ok to delegate/automate.

gains in HP you made

If you are looking for predictable, low effort profits, delegating might look tempting.
However, the difference between manually voting and delegating in terms of curation rewards, is some % at best.
In your case @ +-1000 HP we are talking about a difference of somewhere around 10$/year.

Voting by hand comes with a heap of other advantages though, which are not directly measurable. You might get a vote back, get on other people's radars, get your name out there.

Hivemind showed me your comment, but never notified me of your vote, because it was too small.

Personally, I get an emotional reward for voting posts and authors who I like. It is priceless.

Well, I try my best to curate manually for now and I will see if it helps. Mostly I am under the radar of most people. Probably because I am mostly into photography. That my votes are not shown could be another problem :D
Thanks for the suggestion and explanation.
