RE: MUSINGS ON STEEMIT (AN OPEN LETTER TO @ned, @andrarchy, and @steem-ambassador) // [Bilingual]

The parochialism you mentioned exists in most interactions, here as on twitter, mass and other types if media. Perhaps it's more accentuated here because the like of old, is now linked to a $ sign. If we agree on this being true, perhaps it leads to a part answer to why many established thinkers stick to centralized platforms. Decentralized platforms are a disruption to a kind of hegemony. If one is already established in one, there is little incentive to move to another. A final thought, one can't really assume that because they haven't moved here yet, they will not in future. Perhaps as the contesting of ideas by new thinkers (yourself, say - btw I am not one to engage in idle flattery) reveals how decentralised platforms potentially allow innovation to surface, it will become more popular. From the quantity , steadily Quality will surface .. one should have a bit or faith in humanity's general desire for beauty, truth, knowledge as opposed to merely monetary rewards. Perhaps it's still early days, and the culture we observed so far is as much a result of old social platforms more than something arising from here.

One has to recognize that our natural tendency may be to gravitate to old methods to solve what we think are new problems. I agree with everything else you wrote about .. my comments are perhaps just my slightly different conclusions. Otherwise, you expressed my impressions and most of the issues I recognised so far.
