I like this form of fighting depression with positiveness (starting new activities, etc.)I believe that the clients that have this kind of mentality are the one who have the most successful outcomes out of CBT. They are allowed to ruminate, though. But, there is an allocated amount of time to do this. As like you said yourself 'doing something else' is the ultimate goal here.
