RE: Though thrives on conflict. Is it always so? / Всегда ли в споре рождается истина? (featuring @smolalit as author)

in #psychology8 years ago

Wouldn't it be a good idea to re-blog these posts instead? Since the whole featuring new authors was supposed to exist to give these authors a jump in followers and visibility to their posts, not let you get 50% of the rewards in the stake of this company because you are posting it.

Just my opinion.

Sort:

Yeah! All SD and SP to author! GO reblog! GO! This is from reblog post - $0.15 all to author! Reblog useless

P.S. Truly good idea - to write comments related to this article.

Nice self-defending attitude on one criticized comment.

This is from reblog post - $0.15 all to author!

Edited: I noticed the re-blog.

I'm just saying that the idea of featuring authors in your post was supposed to give new ones visibility and a chance at future visible content. The way it has been running has been open to abuse and centralization. Many who do these don't even acknowledge the fact that they cash in 50% of the SP themselves, and god knows how many of those accounts are legitimately new users. I see many of them have no verification whatsoever, and giving the authors who have the followers and followers from whale-accounts the freedom to keep doing this in light of "featuring new users", now that the re-blog option is there and ready to be used, is kind of obsolete.

Unless we want to keep the SD and SP getting collected and re-cycled from the same people to the same people and back to exchanges in an ever so declining price, we should change the way they work. Of course I am not accusing anyone of specifically harming the economy by having many sock-puppet accounts they feed with SD and SP, I'm just saying its really easy to abuse it this way.

Now that the re-blog is there to do what "featuring new author" did before, start using that. Instead of being the raywilliamjohnson of Steemit where you are just a middle-man for other authors time and content. A middle-man who takes a pretty hefty fee nonetheless.

Reblog solves the problem you and other reposters were trying to solve though. So now you guys can reblog posts that are posted under the original authors accounts and they can get all the money. Isn't this good?

Yes, you right, we can reblog, if we (i and authors) want it. But most authors want to be featuring. Everyone has the right to make decisions for themselves. You have decided to do something for yourself, I will not hinder to you. So, please, do not hinder to me. When I will see that reblog work, I will use it.

You seem to know really well what other authors want! With all the users you are following and amount of curation you are doing! I'm sorry I questioned your ethics. Have fun becoming the next whale in a really short time, I'm sure that's what the Steem economy needs! More whales who will question the platform the second they get "hindered" or start receiving less rewards than they are used with before they leave for another platform or threaten to.

gg.

Yes, he is also using new reblog function now, but you can see that reblogged posts only generate about 0.15$ rewards.
The only reason featured posts are getting 200+$ rewards are upvotes from @smooth.
So, you basically could say that @smooth have hired @terrycraft to pick up authors who are going to get some grants from him.
