Finding what is right in front of me is relaxing, everyday of the week.
Little friends visiting again, normally twice a day in the morning the traipse through then later again, the garden if full of flowers and berries at this time of the year.
Watching me watching you, this little one greeted me with a steady gaze, many chase them away, sorry I just don't have the heart to do that, just take a look at that face!

Speak no evil, or is it a case of I only took 1? Mischief written all over the faces of the younger ones who play as they going along learning from parents what they can eat.

Monkey business, Mother is still young (if this is Mom) quietly keeping an eye over the family, talking about Mom's ~ Happy Fathers Day to Dad's Around the world, have a good one!

Now to move further away from the kitchen door watching monkeys, Golden shower another winter flower creeping up a cactus enjoying the heights under a wonderful warm winter South African day.

Garden dripping with flowers butterflies are plentiful, here is one landing in my unruly fern corner, striking colours how could one be bored or not love being in nature. Time to relax, enjoy what you have in immediate surroundings.

Taking a stroll ends up being for half an hour to an hour, looking at life come and go, whilst enjoying the outdoors little blue tea pot slowly simmering, extracting tasty cinnamon tea to enjoy throughout the day, another toast to Father's day, beer will come later....

My faithful companion ambles into his chair for an afternoon nap, one of many walks taken during the day breaking monotony of sitting, seeing what is happening in the garden pulling a couple of weeds in between photography.
He adopted me, fitted into a quiet daily routine perhaps this is what he was looking for, if only dogs could speak Oh the stories they could tell!
Woody has his official paperwork completed by our local Veternarian, Rabies being the most important where we live after six months to see whether he would be happy, the family he left did not make a fuss it was time to get all his innoculations done.
Canon PowerShot SX730 HS f/3.3 1/20 sec ISO-1000
Not for long, we off again sunsets at this time of the year have been spectacular, sunbeams shooting up into the air between the clouds making a glowing display up above. Capturing the sky above, Woody takes a walk checking everything is still OK before retiring back inside for dinner.

Wishing you a peaceful night, rise and shine early again tomorrow into a fresh new week, may it be a fruitful one! Having great fun photographing in manual only, really finding this pocket sized camera offers a lot, thanks for visiting hope you enjoyed your day as much as I enjoyed mine.

Do monkeys come to the backyard and you can watch them? What a great place to live!
Monkeys coexist with humans, they do try come indoors to take food so we have to be careful.
Once the monkeys get into homes, or you feed them, problems ensue so best to leave them in the wild to fend for themselves.
This is logical. We are responsible for those who have tamed.
Each photo here is champion stock Lady Joan.
Monkeys have long been misplaced here and only in the mountains do we see the bigger apes.
A lovely post indeed!
Blessings!
Thanks for kind comment Stephen, we are fortunate not to have baboons in our region, whose size and aggression is daunting. Hopefully one day I will get to photograph our mongoose family that come into the garden, bit difficult with Woody around.
That is so cool that the monkeys come to visit you. I wouldn't chase them off either. I'd make friends and just hang out with them. lol. Your dog is a total cutie too! I love doggies.
None of my dogs have chased them nor been aggressive, male monkeys tend to bare their teeth and warn you not to approach. Unfortunately some people do set their dogs onto the monkeys which is unfortunate since most animals normally coexist happily together.
I love your friends, garden flowers and other living things ... I've made an idea of how it's around you ...
Everything except a road that used to be quiet it is a tranquil place to live looking out over the sugarcane fields down to the river and sea. Sadly development is eating into everything, people overpopulating areas, still cannot blame the animals.
Of course, unfortunately, changes are becoming more obvious and unpleasant.
We are "shooting ourselves in the foot", along with everything else in existence!
Thank you for teaching me an expression. That's how it is...
Awesome photos Joan! I love Woody's relaxing pose!
Woody is a demonstrative dog, demanding a lot of affection, he is quite a character, now very much at home!
They are so cute and yes Mischievious, I don't think I could chase them away either
Love the pattern on that butterfly ;)
Once they find berries and flowers in the garden they visit regularly, not using insecticides for close on to 20 years much more thrives in our small garden.
I wish more people were like you and didn’t use insecticides I do worry about the effect there having in my planet
My dad was very much the same always would only ever use natural things in the garden
You definitely learn from the older folks, I was told to use a saucer of beer in my veg garden for slugs, it worked!
That you mention that I remember MY dad doing the same with a saucer of beer in key spots in his garden he had a big garden area
Nice, serene, lovely post my darling. Have a wonderful new week, looking forward for your photos and thoughts. 😊
Glad you enjoyed the day, our new week starts slowly with a public holiday, school holidays with village full of visitors enjoying the warmer climate from inland.
The monkey seems so tame, ours here are a bit wild and like to snatch things...
Monkeys will allow you to get relatively close, we don't feed them, try avoid putting out bird food when they moving through the garden, since monkeys eat everything.
So true!
Wow the monkeys are cute. You call them monkeys in your part right?
so they are street monkey - not the pet ones and visit you any time they want right?
I have never ever heard it or seen in movies - the street monkey culture in any country except a few Asian countries.
And yeah they are adorable and you are so kind to not to shoo them away.
They are like little gangsters running through the towns, foraging through gardens tasting everything along the way. Dirt bin collection day is not fun, they climb in tearing bags to see if there is anything worthwhile for them to snack on.
Most of the time the stay in the garden (don't come into homes), getting up to all kinds of antics, they are adorable giving one a feeling of what life should be like sharing with everything in your region.
Yes they are wild Vervet Monkeys we have in our area.
Wow I am really delighted by knowing Monkey culture in Africa. Thanks for sharing this Joan :)
Those are beautiful pictures of some very cute monkeys. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping in and enjoying @justatouchfey
looks like the monkey has gotten use to you.
Animals sense when you mean them no harm, at first they scattered hearing the camera click, now they are fascinated @ace108
If they become too smart, they will start stealing from you.😎 i saw a guy holding a bottle of water in his hands behind his back. One local wild monkey here crept up to him and snatched the bottle then ran up the tree nearby, opened the cap and drank. Cheers. Haha.
this monkey is co-operating for photography.
Amazing photograph my friend. thanks for share with us.Hello @joanstewart
Taken a few days for them to get used to me being out there with them @tussar11
Wow, @joanstewart - so much awesomesauceness in one post! That adorable little monkey completely melted my heart, then following up with the blooms, the butterfly and the gorgeous sky... not to mention the cute pup and my dream tea kettle (I have a thing for cobalt blue)... thanks for sharing so much eye candy! 'Twas truly a beautiful Sunday indeed!
My kitchen is in the Dutch blue and white Traci, collected that old teapot thirty years ago in enamel only recently put it to good use regularly.
Monkeys are adorable to watch except when they decide to use one of the cars in the garden as a trampoline from one roof to the next playing games, for the most part I just enjoy having them around.
Have a wonderful week and thanks for visiting.
Your kitchen sounds heavenly, Joan! And I have a similar feeling about the squirrels in our area - wicked adorable, but they like to use the wires & insulation in our cars as chew toys, so... 😜
Hope you have a wonderful week as well!
Oh my goodness, I don't know what's cuter--the monkeys or the dog! I enjoyed seeing them both! A friend of mine just got back from a trip to Costa Rica and she loved hearing and seeing all of the monkeys every morning. Though she said the Howlers can be a little disconcerting to hear their calls at times!
Both are settled in, one slightly more than the other. Our monkeys chatter, only the males bark (and fight) from time to time, howler monkeys must a wonderful sight and sound to wake up to.
Cute little monkeys! I hope they don't cause too much mischief in and around your house?
Odd occasion they slip into the home, we have been fortunate they have not caused massive problems, no more than a child would @bengy
What a beautiful day! The monkeys, butterflies and of course Woody! Too fun! Love the sunset...a perfect end!
Each day may sound like rinse and repeat, never the same in nature changing all the time. Bees arrive for the flowers a couple of weeks later now berries and the monkeys come in.
Oh, I couldn't chase them! What a lovely sense of tranquility here, Joan. I envy such a beautiful life.
Woody looks like he has settled in nicely!!! :)

Make paradise your own where you live Denise, accepting what you live with, or who decides to live with you, mutual respect goes a long way.
Yes Woody is settled and still greets the children next door, although he no longer visits there.
Absolutely, Joan. If you don't, one will never have one.
Have a wonderful week ahead!

Life is too short, accept what you cannot change, and change what you are able, keep your sanity in whatever situation life throws at you.
Walking around the neighbourhood used to be a highlight of my day with my Rhodesian Ridgebacks, now I enjoy my garden with Woody not feeling as safe going out onto the streets like we used to.
The eyes of the monkey touches my heart!
We also have golden shower flower in our home town garden.
Love the relax mood of your dogy!
Little ones are very cute, innocence in their eyes, absolute trust.
Woody is very much at home, relaxing next to me during the day @rem-steem
I always enjoy reading about your daily adventures. MONKEYS! I love seeing them, but not sure I could deal with them staring at me! Haha. So cute though.
Ren
Babies in the troop tend to sit still and watch what you are up to, the adults are more shy with males showing teeth when nervous Ren.
Aww so cute! That monkey would be lovely to relax with.
They sure are entertaining to watch.
Where are those monkeys from? They are quite elegant.

All along the coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa @toddrjohnson
Do monkies also steal shiny personal things or just food? I saw a video once where they grab phones and other stuff.
The ones we have only take food, you can place banana's behind cupboard doors, they will sniff them out in a raid @watersnake101
That monkey looks like he could get into more trouble than all the cats and squirrels we get around here. That is definitely a face of a trouble maker right there!
It is always nice to stop and enjoy the little things on busy days. I had a bit of a lazy dog day myself being outdoors.
Full on mischief at least twice a day moving through the gardens @enjar, wild cats cruise through at night no real problem with them having a dog in the house.
No squirrels where we live, learned via comments made by @traciyork that they too come and 'play' with human toys.
