Once they find berries and flowers in the garden they visit regularly, not using insecticides for close on to 20 years much more thrives in our small garden.
I wish more people were like you and didn’t use insecticides I do worry about the effect there having in my planet
My dad was very much the same always would only ever use natural things in the garden
You definitely learn from the older folks, I was told to use a saucer of beer in my veg garden for slugs, it worked!
That you mention that I remember MY dad doing the same with a saucer of beer in key spots in his garden he had a big garden area
