Banana and Mango Green Smoothie

This is an avocado smoothie recipe.  Avocados are high in vitamin k, potassium, and monounsaturated fatty acids making them a heart healthy superfood.  They also make the smoothie incredibly rich and creamy.

1 frozen banana 

1/2 cup frozen mango

handful of spinach 

1/2 avocado, pitted

1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.  Enjoy!

It's also a good idea to mix in some calcium citrate to reduce the uptake of oxalates from the spinach. At least if you eat a lot of raw spinach or kale to avoid kidney stones :)

I hear Avocados are great for healthy hair and skin, will have to try this smoothie out.
