You are souls, we do not own souls. But we do own a temporary body, witch we use and identify with in this life. Yes, i do belive in a life after this, in a elevated body, made of new material, but with the same soul that we now are.
I do also agree with you regarding our task of learning, or as I would call it, character development. This is the purpose of life accourding to my understanding.
But there is a great missunderstading flourishing in the world right now and that is the imortality of the soul. Humans can kill the body, but cannot destroy the soul. Be aware that our Creator can destroy both body and soul. This means we shall only fear our Creator and not humans.
The next life will not happen in this world, anyone that have memories of earlier lifes are lying or influenced by fallen, unclean angels/spirits. (Btw, they are very old and have the ability of memorizing exact memory of all historical events and all souls that have ever lived, they also have extended education in the art of deception by their master, the father of lies)
When we die we rest in a sleep-like state. The dead do not know anything. We continue to sleep until the judgement day, first then we will be instantly awakened, given new bobies, transfered to a new world/dimension and then we vill continue our lifes. Character/toughts are the only thing we bring with us. For a 1000 years we will rest and heal in this new world, our work: Judging the angels.

As regarding hypnosis and the past life regression technic, it is fully possible that a person subjected to these practices would be fully open and unprotected for the fallen angels to manipulate the persons memory.
Conclusion
The concept of hypnosis can be explained by the concept of fallen, unclean angels that are trying to manipulate mankind into forgetting our true identity and origin.
We are created in the image of God. And we can always ask our creator for guidance.
To call others "Fools" is a harsh judgement. I have come to believe that each of us experiences different versions and variations of spirituality depending on our personal belief system and cultural influences. I have never been hypnotised or been subjected to past life regression and have not been manipulated by the dark. That said the dark does exist! The spirits I communicate with are loving, bright and pure and offer love, guidance and protection. They were all, once, in physical form and existed on our plane and some have the choice to reincarnate if they so desire at a future date. I do not try to be negative just for the sake of being negative, but there is a spiritual war ongoing and we humans are mearly the battlefield. Once upon a time in history there were a rebellion and the rebelious angels/spirits ware cast down to earth and here they spread deception and lies.
The problem is that one of the most common technic they use is to totally turn things upside/down. The true becomes false and the good turns to evil. That is what is so dangerous in listening to spirits
This verse from the Bible describes the condition in the world
Revalations 18:2
"And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird."

I respect your beliefs although they, on balance, have no resonance with me. I am not religious and follow no doctrine. I concur there is an ongoing hidden war between light and dark in our world where the elite are eager to enslave the common man for profit and gain.
