On the third day there was a wedding at Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there;
and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
When the wine was all gone, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no more wine.”
Jesus said to her, “[Dear] woman, what is that to you and to Me? My time [to act and to be revealed] has not yet come.”
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
Now there were six stone waterpots set there for the Jewish custom of purification (ceremonial washing), containing twenty or thirty gallons each.
Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim.
Then He said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter [of the banquet].” So they took it to him.
And when the headwaiter tasted the water which had turned into wine, not knowing where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew) he called the bridegroom,
and said to him, “Everyone else serves his best wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then he serves that which is not so good; but you have kept back the good wine until now.”
This, the first of His signs (attesting miracles), Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His glory [displaying His deity and His great power openly], and His disciples believed [confidently] in Him [as the Messiah—they adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him].
After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother and brothers and His disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
Now the Passover of the Jews was approaching, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
And in the temple [enclosure] He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables.
He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables;
then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Stop making My Father’s house a place of commerce!”
His disciples remembered that it is written [in the Scriptures], “Zeal (love, concern) for Your house [and its honor] will consume Me.”
Then the Jews retorted, “What sign (attesting miracle) can You show us as [proof of] your authority for doing these things?”
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
Then the Jews replied, “It took forty-six years to build this temple, and You will raise it up in three days?”
But He was speaking of the temple which was His body.
So when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered what He had said. And they believed and trusted in and relied on the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.
Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast, many believed in His name [identifying themselves with Him] after seeing His signs (attesting miracles) which He was doing.
But Jesus, for His part, did not entrust Himself to them, because He knew all people [and understood the superficiality and fickleness of human nature],
and He did not need anyone to testify concerning man [and human nature], for He Himself knew what was in man [in their hearts—in the very core of their being].

We mice would love to have Jesus at one of our parties!
A toast to the Lord.
hahaha with the best wine 😉
We see in this second chapter of John's record of the Gospel that the first miracle of Jesus was hinged on Obedience. Thank God for the Mary, who knew this and did pre-inform the servants to do whatever they are bidded by Christ Jesus.
It took obedience for the servants to painstakingly fill about 300 galons of water in the six water pots.
Just giving hear to the Master and taking to the two instructions he gave was enough to make the miracle
The servants did not question Jesus' instruction even when they seemed foolish to the carnal man. All they needed was to do what He said.
With this, I draw my lessons that If we will obey God for every instruction he bids us, then our miracle is sure. In just obeying 2 instructions, the taste of the "situation" changed. Every bitterness and wrong taste in your life can change to sweetness at a single response to God's insteruction in obedience.
This deserves to be shared on my blog for others to share. Thank you @reliquary for spicing this.
Jesús comienza a demostrar su poder publicamente, esto hace que sus dicípulos se afianzaran más en Él.
Jesus was already aware of what would happen to him. When he was crucified and then on the third day he would rise again in victory. But none understood that and thought he was referring to the temple. However, his disciples remembered those words when Jesus was resurrected.
The wedding would have turned unexciting without wine, thanks to the invitation and presence of Jesus there was a better wine. Life without Jesus Christ will always run out of joy and excitement, Jesus the only river that ever run dry.
God made the impossible to be possible, the same God that turn water to whine is still there to change your situation only if you believe in him
Vs 5
99.9% obedience is equal to 100% disobedience. If we must see God's miraculous hand, we must drop mental reasoning and obey God completely.
I believe the servants would have written their will before carrying out that command. Because if they get to the chairman of the occasion and it was still water, maybe their heads will be hanging on a pole.
Sometimes obeying God will be risky, but whatever God says..
DO IT, IT ENDS IN CONGRATULATIONS
Jesus knew the heart of each one, he knew his intentions and in whom I could trust. He begins to demonstrate his authority before others and to defend and put order in his things!
Jesus first miracle was the beginning of His great journey to fulfill a destiny far more important than any.
Reading the word of God daily through @reliquary has been a great blessing.
Jesus always does his best.
