Yes, I'm with you on embracing freedom to procreate. As long as it is between too consenting adult wanting to raise a child together, it should be supported.
Personally, I resolved to remain single in my life for now. A family starts with a good relationship pairing. Plud I never felt like I had the financials I wanted to safely raise a child how I believe they deserve. As a man, I have the luxury of changing my mind about this in my later life.
If all the antinationalists are right about the consequences of overpopulation, when large populations begin to die out, it won't be the people incapable, or unwilling to procreate who can rescue humanity from extinction. Philosophers and scientists are always predicting future disasters based on our current trends. Rarely do they also accept the paradoxical problems associated with making the radical global sudden changes they propose.
I can certainly see the attraction of a single life. What I would give to have a few days to myself every now and then! But in a few hours when they wake the fun will begin... and I won't care any more :) One thing I do want to say is that I didn't feel ready when Sabrina told me she was pregnant. Both times! It wasn't planned, so hard to feel ready. The important thing is being prepared to shift with the wind. Interestingly, having kids actually made me way more responsible with money and I started saving for the first time in my life.
Now all I need is the crypto market to boom and I won't have to think about that any more ;)
Thanks for the personal comment. Family is certainly formative to a person's development.
