I suppose running faster definitely keeps you warmer in winter. I only started the low heart rate stuff in our summer, hopefully I will be fitter and faster in zone 2 when our winter arrives and i wont have to rug up too much.

I don't mind layering in Winter, I think I feel the cold more than most, even at 0 degrees I sometimes treble layer with a thick base layer and then a jacket over a regular top.
