The leaders are now facing the soul destroying Tip Track. I ran down it today (twice) and it is still every bit as hard on the knees and ankles as it ever was.
This is where the race can be won or lost.
And don't count out @toofasteddie just yet. He could stall catch the leaders and cause an upset.
But as things stand at the moment it is a three way battle, with any of the runners able to make a break.
What will happen tomorrow?
Testers it’s that time again
Tell me:
- How fast you will go
- How long you will go
- How many gels you will consume
- And if you want to rest, how long you will rest for
You will have until 9:00pm tomorrow NZ time to get your responses in.
Interested to see what this is all about?

Does it matter if someone rests first or runs first?
No it won't matter in terms of how the game engine works.
But it may have in impact on how much of your fatigue gets 'cured'.
So you can rest first, or after, depending on what you think will give you the best results.
that's a good question :-)
I remember at school we did 5 k run and I came in 6th, I was about to be absolutely dead person, I have never been so hungry for air in my life ever before lol. Ever since after then I try to run 5 k at least every 2 day’s ,but what you did is super cool, I will keep following you:) I enjoy your work
Thanks

Time. 1
Rest. 1
Gels. None left
Cool. Thanks for that.
They should have an aid station at the top of the hill with beds so I can have a lie-down and plenty of gels to restock.
I wish!
The aid station is at the bottom of the hill, so you're not far from it.
I spent about 15 minutes there when I got down. The marshals had to come along and tell me to get moving, otherwise I'd probably still be there!
For the purpose of the game, as it takes no physical effort, psychologically an aid-station at the top of the hill sounds better. as a thought for the future runs.
Is it possible to have an idea of the track we are running along? the next mile [K] is .... then ...... up a .... hill so many[ M] high, Down a ...... through a raging class 6 river..... etc.
For those who have more sense than trying to destroy our bodies in real life it would help with the planning, how fast/how far.
those brave souls who have done the run know what is ahead, those from overseas have no real idea where and what the track is like.
just a thought.
I actually googled it lol....didn't get a lot of info but there is a route map. Sad, I know but I think doing a bit of work researching and then making a slightly more (very slightly more!) educated guess is a great part of the game :-)
I was thinking aloud for the future, if Trevor does an imaginary course, somewhere that is non-existent, so you can't ask Uncle Google for info.
He could base it on places he has been, with rivers to cross, swing bridges to negotiate, blazing desserts, the mind boggles.
It was just a thought that he may be able to incorporate in the future.

Thanks again :-)
has the chicken flown the nest ?
Which chicken?
@kiwiscanfly with the chicken thumbnail...whoops, or perhaps its a kiwi ?
Ahh I see ;-)
I think he is pretty busy right now. He still has 6 more hours to get his answer in though.
Since this is the test round I'm not going to be too harsh on late entries.
But for the real game, I'll enforce the cutoff times.
