Hope you get well and heal soon. Do you think that what the Doctors are doing is helping you improve at all?
I was wondering about a few things that you wrote in your post and maybe I could be in a position to help alleviate a bit of the pain/suffering. I can tell you a bit about my exp going through my digestive issues and my Doctors basically didn't help me at all and I wasted tens thousand USD on going through everything. I had to learn by trial and error and tons of research. And I fully understand you might have already read some of this or what I am saying doesn't apply but I just wanted to leave this reply in the hopes a part of it would help. I am not any kind of Doctor and I am not giving any medical advice keep in mind and I also see you are saying you were diagnosed with some form of pancreatitis so it is different than what I went through but similar ;0
It sucks going through medical issues like this and I personally know that it can really get you down and miserable. I had a medical issue that I went to the Emergency Room for 10 times before they started to figure out what was going on with me, and it is still kinda unresolved a year later. It ended up being something to do with gallbladder/digestive issues/stress and I have some kind of cysts in there BUT they aren't big enough to be concerned about. Ended up losing 50 lbs and I was able to get healthy again by changing my diet and trying to do better.
So far so good but this last time of course it didn't want to go away, after nearly 5 days of not eating and just drinking and laying in bed in pain and discomfort hoping that it would go away the next time I wake up it was finally time to visit the hospital when I started vomiting again after a couple days break of only having drank water and natural fruit juice.
Too much sugar/acidty of juice or koolaid/soda will do that to just about anyone, especially if dealing with digestive issues. If dealing with issues with your stomach you would be looking to cut down on all inflammation causing foods/drinks. Inflammation free diet in short term. Juices/soda/fruit/acidic/most meats would be removed temporarily. Eating oatmeal/breads without gluten will really help. Bone broth/chicken broth for getting protein as it is easy to digest and you need some sort of protein coming in, as well as supplements for vitamins since this type of food has very little of it. The oatmeal/bread. helps rebuild your stomach lining and so does eating fats. From what I have read it is recommended to do the oatmeal/bread route first before doing meats as meats take longer to digest and cause more digestive stress/pressure. Oatmeal/breads for typically take less than 2 hours to get out of your stomach, chicken can be 4 to 5 hours, steak 6 to 7. Raw fruits and vegetables are extremely hard to digest when you are having digestive issues, steaming them and or cooking them will make it a ton easier for you to digest.
For drinking "natural fruit juice" are you talking about like freshly grinded juice from fruit or liquid juice from a store that is labeled "natural". Is a Doctor reccomending for you to drink Juice? The acidity level in juices will corrode and bother your insides, as well as the sugar is something that will inflame you the whole way down on an empty stomach. If you are drinking juice or soda on an empty stomach and that's all you are doing for 5 days we are talking about levels of acid going straight through your bowels/intestines. On an empty stomach everything is flushed directly into your intestines. Drinking water or lemon water on an empty stomach is ok to help clear some things out when you wake up or before meals in general.
Another thing I'm surprised at is how much and for how long they been feeding me painkillers this time around, with feeding I mean injecting me with them.
Yikes! Pain killers also away your stomach lining if taken orally and are extremely harsh on digestion/liver/gallbladder. Anytime your body has drugs of any kind coming into it your body tries to filter it out immediately and its a digestive stressor as well.
From everything I went through NONE of my Doctors was able to tell me what to eat and what to stop eating. They gave me mixed messages on what to do. NONE of them were nutritionally trained so they literally were not giving me advice. When I asked them what I should/shouldn't' eat I got a generic answer of some basic things. Nothing in depth. Some even told me to look it up online... yay USA medical system lol.
