@broncnutz I did the same thing this past weekend, but with SBDs. I sat with my mother-in-law, transferred 56 SBDs to Bittrex, swapped them for BTC, then moved BTC to Coinbase and used my Shift card to pay for a day trip to Colorado Springs (Adams Cafe for breakfast, Great Wolf's Lodge for questing and the obstacle course, then Burrowing Owl for dinner).
Once she saw that, she registered for a Coinbase account and a Steemit account. I even sent her $10 in Bitcoin to show how easy the transfer was. Now she's hooked.
I think more videos showing how it happens will convert more people one by one.
