The saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" has some truth to it. Apples are high in vitamins A and C, and fibre that helps reduce cholesterol, lowers your risk for diabetes and helps keep you regular. They are also tasty!
- Handful of spinach
- 1 apple
- 1 cup of unsweet vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
I would add a little bit to get a coconut !
Yeah it would be really good with coconut milk
That looks delicious! Plus all the health benefits. Win-win :)
A very healthy delicious recipe. :-)
Looks delicious. I would add some Chia seeds and a little cinnamon. Chia helps to balance the insulin spike with sugar from the fruit.
Thanks for the tip I like them because they are high in omega 3.
Thank You for reminding me of the benefits of the Chia seeds. when i was first diagnosed with type 2 diabetes my physician recommended Chia seeds in my smoothies rather than poppy seeds. Unfortunately he passed away 3 weeks later and I had forgotten which seed he had recommended. Thanks to you, I now remember it was the Chia seed!
This is what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow. Thanks!
This looks yummy! I have all of the ingredients on hand. I will give this a try today. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the apple tip. I always make it with more berries, but im going to try the apple this time. Making this smoothie tonight!
My son loves smoothies. Absolutely the best way to sneak spinach into a kid's lunch ever invented. I don't know why I've never tried using apples, but I'm going for it.
