Feminism has marked a point in history, a before and after.

Now, the distortion of feminism of today.

Feminism is defined as a social movement in which women's equal rights with men are sought and demanded.

At present, feminism is a current of thoughts that groups together a set of movements and ideologies, with the fundamental objective of achieving gender equality and, in turn, the transformation of power relations between men and women.

From this basic concept derives radical feminism, in which it proposes to end patriarchal domination, that is, male supremacy, through the opposition of gender roles and an integral social restructuring.

Some criticisms that are made to the so-called radical feminism is that it ends up incurring attitudes typical of hembrism, that is, contempt and discrimination against man and what he represents.

Feminism has its own pre-established, basic characteristics. As it seeks to equalize the rights of women to the same level as the opposite sex, to fight so that both men and women have equal conditions in the workplace, to fight not only for women's rights, but for the rights of all . And more.

Those who do not meet these certain characteristics, we would be in front of a radical Feminist or better called today as Feminazi.

Mostly radical feminists have the following characteristics:

Focus and advocate solely for women's rights, leaving aside gender equality.
Fight for equity in work based only on sex and not on merit or ability.

Believe that mothers or wives can not be feminists.
Think that men can not be feminists.

Orthodox feminists have been carried away by victimization, with a rhetoric attacking men, full of feminist chauvinism, if you will. It has become worrying that this movement has become an anti-intellectual, which poses a serious risk to young people in universities. Which do not want to be related to feminism of today.

And the violation? Is this exaggerated by modern feminists?

Totally, this idea that one in four girls are victims of rape or attempt of this is absurd. You are more likely to be the victim of a rape or attempted rape, if you are in a high crime neighborhood. The chances of being raped sometime in the course of life are not as likely as they seem.

Pornography, a reason for aberration for feminists.

That a man takes control over the woman at the time of having sexual relations, even with his consent, turns out to be something atrocious for the radical feminists, it is horrifying the puritanism and the sexual phobia of the feminism. How did this happen? I mean, feminism used to be fun, it attracted all kinds of women full of life.

Now you ask a group of young women on the campus of the university, "How many of you are feminists?" And very few raise their hands, because young women do not want to be associated with it, because they know what it means to a victim and that means being bitter and angry.

And young women are not naturally bitter or angry.

Social networks have facilitated this confusion in what is known as hembrismo. This is a concept defined as discrimination or contempt towards men, which is represented in attitudes and protests promoting repressive behavior towards the male gender. The current focus of feminism is only generating anarchy, mainly in terms of the use of social networks by activists. This situation has generated a fanaticism and empowerment that already falls on the inadmissible.

Great and important topic.
I agree that feminism has gone too far. When we are no longer allowed to notice the differences between male and female... when we bash men in sitcoms and somehow that's "okay"... when "feminists" are now saying that women are better than men... That's not okay.

Maybe some of these "Feminazis" are simply victims of abuse - you can expect some level of backlash when that happens, but to take it to the level that women who choose to be wives and mothers are somehow not feminine??? How ridiculous is that?!

Feminism was an important topic when women really weren't treated in the same realm as men - a necessary reaction to a cultural problem. But now, the main problem has been corrected, so they need new targets, new people to stigmatize...

Excellent comment, it is a very good observation and also successful. However, I disagree a bit with the fact that radical feminists could be victims of abuse by men; what happens, of course. But if we put it in the current context, do you really think that with all the information on the subject that exists in the networks, a woman can not realize that what really happened was that she encountered a son of a bitch and really not all of them are like that? I see it unlikely, I do not know what you think about it.

Yes, it is well known that there are women who are very affected by these abuses, with psychological traumas without the least help from their family (which is the reason why I try not to generalize too much), it is not as if women had a Little common sense to become aware of things.

I have been thinking about this topic for a long time now. You are right maybe we have taken it too far. Feminism is about equality. Its not about being superior to men or hindering their rights and freedom. Many people these days have a misconception of feminism. It takes courage to write on such a topic. Many would avoid this controversial topic. Keep going. Thank you for sharing :)

Yes I think so. But why keep silent? That is, if you have an opinion, I think it is necessary to say that you should comment on it, let it be known. No matter how polemic and controversial it is.
