Great call out to improve posts by musicians! Original artists shall be recognised as it should be.
Being a curator myself in the music segment of our platform, I sometimes wonder why musicians and music fans posting there own music our other artists music, are not taking advantages of HIVE being a blogging platform. Personally I like to see a bit more than just sharing music. I like to read the personal thoughts of the user posting some music. I do realise we have services that are less about blogging, like 3speak and dsounds, but still. I also realise, not everybody is able to write, but that said, I'm not looking for the great writers. Everybody has their own thoughts; Why not try and write this into the posts alongside with the music the user is sharing? I even like to see user sharing other artists works since HIVE should also be for music fans to share articles about and with music. These users must add value to whatever they share; When not, it looks quite like spamming and scamming, using other peoples work to make money at HIVE. I personally skip those posts for curation, and dont take time to comment those posts. Some of them entered my MUTE list. In addition, I see more and more abuse in the music community. Mucisians posting their work multiple times, even on the same day. For instance, some users post their work first to 3speak and then write a post with the exact some content and publish this through peakD, or hive.blog. I skip those authors for any curation. Unfortunately, many other curators, still vote these users, including some of the high value vote curators of which some of them you mentioned in your post. I do hope the music corners at HIVE will grow, but I do like to see less abuse, more diversity in users blogs, and more engagement.

Thank you very much for supporting these presentations that I bring to the platform, and for participating in this discussion with very interesting words.
For me this is a great lack of initiative on the part of the musicians of the platform. First of all, it must be said that Hive is a place where we can do anything in a well-structured way. I'm sure that on this platform we have high-level composers and arrangers who should take advantage of this to share their knowledge, as well as showcase their musical work. For example, I have not had the opportunity to read a composition guide here, and I would like to do so for many reasons.
That is a field that some musicians should cover here. There are so many things that we could do, and it would be a matter of serving ourselves the table by preparing to do the things that we like, so that we can add value to the platform.
I made this publication precisely because I'm also a curator, I have my project on the platform and I often see these mistakes that I mention in the publication. Several times I have tried to help with corrections, and some people listen and correct their data, and others simply do nothing.
Thank you very much for this great support, and for sharing this same concern that I have regarding this problem of misuse of the author's sources. My wish is that this reaches all corners of the music community at Hive, to all those who support music with the best that each one has to offer, and that we can do something to combat this problem.
Regards!!!
Yea, some users indeed take notice of comments, remarks and advices. I classify those users as good actors who need some help to understand what the soft rules we have in our HIVE community and may even be open to change their content to support to blogging aspect of HIVE. Others, who just continue with what they do, are in my honest opinion bad actors. Most of these bad actors are here to take HIVE without putting an extra effort, ie take the easy road. For some users its not easy to qualify them either good or bad actor. I know a few users who bring original content, do good things outside HIVE, maybe their own website and blog, but just post to HIVE without going around the community to interact with others. Till now, I classify these type of users as good actors, when their content is good, and I try to get them to become more active on HIVE. Other users with maybe good content but no transparency in what they do outside HIVE (probably nothing) I tend to skip for curation. That said, am not that black/white when it comes to curation. I have my moments of high and low acceptance of what can be seen as abuse or not. In the end we need as many as possible cool and interesting content creators to support HIVE adoption.
