I wouldn't care if a 100MV account delegate some of its power to multiple smaller accounts.
The issue I have here is that clayop is bypassing the no whale vote experiment intentionally or not. And of course he can do what he wants with his steem power but if he thinks that's the best way to increase the value of the platform he is wrong. If every whales start doing this the utility of steem power will go down a lot for the majority of users and you can bet the price will follow..

No whale vote experiment is temporary. You may be right that with a myopic view it's squeezing out minnows and dolphins today, but I'm thinking months into the future when we have a flatter reward curve. SP delegation almost certainly will lead to more effective curation, subject to whales accurately delegating to the better curators, which in turn will go a long way in retaining the best authors. (All subjective, of course) Which in turn will drive demand for Steem Power.
Of course, it would be a problem if whales start delegating SP frivolously to people who add nothing to the platform, or to sockpuppets. That's of course a valid risk, but one which is greatly outweighed by the benefits of more effective curation.
A flatter curve is hardly going to solve anything.
Less than 1% of all accounts own roughly 95% of all steem power, these statistics do not include any curve, its purely what people have in steem power. So even with a flatter curve the power concentration will be huge.
And 6 months ago these numbers were about the same, so it's going to take forever for power to redistribute itself and probably won't happen because most whales are selling to buy more stake cheaper. Look at the last graph https://steemd.com/distribution
How do you know that? Nothing to me indicates that it is temporary.. I mean do you want it to stop? Do you want to go back to a situation where 99% of users can't even give 1 cent upvote? I'm pretty sure nobody wants that.
No whale vote does not mean not using whales sp. It only restricts high voting power (800 mv approx.) Whales still can 2x vote with 50% or 4x with 25%.
As mentioned, a risk is delegation to sockpuppets or delegation from sub-accounts for sp concentration. But my case is not.
