Sport diet - my small muscle helpers

in #sport7 years ago

Hi, guys!

Since I started my cycle of blog posts dedicated to work out I probably will talk also about every little helper I use for it. I already wrote about my fitness tracker and my bottle for water choice, and today I want to write a bit about protein.

First of all I don't use it like real athletes. While on the cover it's recommended to use it three times a day during training days I use it only once, after training, and a really small portion. It's more about giving my body enough proteins (cause I eat protein-rich products really rare), and thus help my muscles as well.

Here I have two different packs of protein, hempseed and blue curacao. I use the second one when I want to have something sweet (plus I don't drink alcohol at all, so it's the only blue caracao in my life).

Inside it looks like this. Later I will also write a post about my shaker, it needs a separate post cause it contains a funny story:(

But in general you just mix up this powder with water or milk and drink it.

I really train longer and get less muscle fever after using them.

Happy work out to everyone:)

I wish you all the best and will be happy if you'll support me with vote:)

Hi @inber,

I do not like to give opinions as I believe every individual makes their decisions on their own and should be left to it. On the other hand I feel that I would like to at least say a little about (animal) whey protein vs plant based proteins such as your hemp hearts.

Whey protein is high in sulfur based amino acids causing it to be very acid forming towards our bodies. Acid forming products can lead to significant calcium loss and weakening of the bones known as osteoporosis. Since whey protein leads to increased acidity and lowered pH of the blood it can also lead to kidney disorders when consumed regularly.

Plant proteins, on the other hand, are alkaline forming in our bodies resulting in better overall metabolic functions of our bodies. Plant proteins provide us with all of the essential amino acids required and without the negative side effects of consuming animal products.

I am not hear to lecture. I am here because I made radical dietary changes which ultimately led to me still being here today so that I can write this. I have learned much along the way and one of the biggest things I have learned is to avoid animal based food products.

I think it is great that you are consuming hemp hearts. They are a wonderful source of concentrated plant based proteins. This is really all you need. Please avoid concentrated animal by-products (whey and casein). Your body will thank you later.

Peace,
The Last Sage

I use plant proteins, so I think it's OK. Thank you for you answer!

Hey,
thats very interesting. Do you have any link where this is proven?
I like your argumentation but the other day someone told me the complete opposite and now I don't know what to believe. Also I would like to use your argumentation but it is hard to argue if you say "I red this in the internet".

Are you talking about all kind of animal proteins, like quark and met or just shakes?

Cheers

Three times a day.. uhm well i don't think it's a healthy recommendation just my opinion though. I prefer once or twice a day i get natural portion and carbo from meat and fresh vegis. Thanks for the nice post .

I also think that once a day is completely enough for me:)

Thats great.

all the best dear
