RE: No Such Thing As Natural Talent - Exploding The Myth Of The Gifted

in #sports8 years ago

Hard work is paramount in achieving success in any field. Whether it be sports, education, work or relationships. However, when you combine natural talent and hard work, that becomes an unbeatable combination.

For example, regardless how hard you train for the 100 m spring you will never beat Usain Bolt. You may be training three times per day, seven days per week for a 10 years straight you still won't be the best. The reason being is because some people are genetically better at performing in a certain field. They have the correct amount of neuron connections in the section of the brain that is responsible for computation or they have more fast twitch muscle fibers hence being able to run faster than the average person. You can't fight nature, but you can sharpen what you're given.
