I hit a bit of a milestone on my eBay store last week! I hit 1000 positive feedbacks!
I joined eBay in 2005, but never did much of anything on there until around 2012. I sold Edmonton Oiler playoff tickets on there in 2006, and that’s all. When I started to collect hockey cards again in late 2011, I knew it was time to start selling them on eBay!
One thing I’ve discovered about collecting hockey cards is that reselling cards you don’t want is a ton of work. You have to buy supplies for the cards, buy envelopes, buy stamps, and make regular trips to the post office, among other things. You would think it would be easy to mail small things like hockey cards but it has its moments where it can be extraordinarily time consuming! I think it’s all worth it in the end!

Happy collecting!
Congrats, I too have been an off and on ebayer! I saw you commented on one of my posts then I realized you are the "Canadian Collector" with box breaks on your posts, GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU CONGRATULATIONS...UPVOTE!!!!!!
Yep, I’ve been trying to get my fellow hockey card collectors into here. Not much success so far. Going to keep trying!
Good job! Thanks to @cryptkeeper17 you have planted 0.05 tree to save Abongphen Highland Forest in Cameroon. Help me to plant 1,000,000 trees and share my Steem Power to the others. Selfvoting is prohibited, but that should be the reason to spread the world to protect our precious environment. Check out profile of our conservation association @kedjom-keku and the founder/coordinator @martin.mikes to get more information about our conservation program. My current SP is 14498.18. Help me to plant more trees with your delegated SP.
Thanks a lot,

Why in the world would collectors not want to get in here. Especially at the ground floor level. I was trying to sell two Kris Bryant cards as a trial to see if there were any interest on here to start selling off the miniature shop inventory I have. They would usually bring $1.50-$3 (average) each time listing them for a penny and free shipping. I started the bidding at 0.01sbd. Yep, one steemdollar cent. I wind up getting paid like 0.30sbd for the listing with no bids. So, I was paid at the time like $2 in value to send those who voted the picture of the cards and received nothing else in return. I wanted to send them the cards in the mail, but they didn't want to fork over 6-7 cents in value. Oh well, I think collectors will really see the light on a platform like this. Amazon started by selling books online in a new way. Wonder if anyone can take over ebay for the same role anytime soon?
Would be nice to not have to pay eBay 10%, plus PayPal fees.
When I tell my fellow collectors about Steemit, I usually get The I do t have time excuse, or they think this site is a scam.
Blogging to get paid? It sounds too good to be true. Or is it?
Cool! I got one item on my ebay still waiting buyer to grab it. I find it hard to sell
