How many accounts is too many for a steem user to be voting with?
Comments will be transfered to you if you vote on this post.
Comments will be voted by all of my accounts.
I recently started using multiple accounts
I would like to see your preference for how many accounts is acceptable before you feel the reward pool is being taken advantage of.
The purpose of this post is not to persuade readers of one way which is better but to decide my voting limitations for the #godo group of accounts. Currently I am planning on limiting my voting to one account but i need money and this is now my full time job so I will vote with all of my accounts and transfer my funding to one whale account that will be my main voting account. I want to do this because similar to a job there may be things that make money that I am not interested in looking at for entertainment.
Please vote the course of action that you support the most or make an argument for a new one.
Thank you for your participation!
My wife and I share 2 - she has @liverehab and I run this one @bazooka. I don't think any one person should have more than one account unless it is a business/brand account.
Thanks for your input, I would consider all of the accounts here a business because they are making money and I am spending my time here. Maybe one day I can retire and do that as well but until then these 4 accounts are the pillars that will support the steem business I am working on creating.
I used to feel the same way but things have changed. vote for the first comment if you feel this way.
You are probably right. It's better to focus on one account, even if it's (like me) a starting account without any inluence.
One is enough.. We also have other things to do... maybe some have.
Realistically, two is too many. Just focus on growing your one account. Too many accounts also means you’ll stop focusing on making good content.
My current set up is to have a dedicated account for, I will refine my use of steem in these ways;
Doing this will allow me to allocate steem power to the areas that need improvement and keep a full vote for quality posts without voting and commenting on things for reference of to join contests.
Since my single tag system,
seems to now be programmed out of possibility this is the only way I can continue to use the site and keep some level of organizational sanity, seems to be by design to incentivize the buying of accounts that they are unwilling to accept any basic level of organizing the tags here.I have been studying the data that comes from this site and most of the most successful users do this to use the site more efficiently. This is a closely guarded secret of the top anonymous users here.
No matter how my voting power is divided I believe I am still adding the same amount of value to the blockchain if not more because of the new account cost which os about $20.
No amount is too many.
I fear the last option will win but looks like its going to be close.
I have no clue as to what is acceptable; I was surprised to find upvote services but haven't signed up for any. So far all my votes came naturally, but recently someone showed how he missed out on income by not voting on his own posts so I tried that on a few of my own and wonder if I shouldn't do that on all my posts. Trouble is, if I do that, I won't have any voting power left for others and I'm down to about 65% as it is.
That is by far the most acceptable and still the best way to vote in my opinion, I had started to use an external voting pool that rewards you for voting on fellow members posts prior to my Christmas vacation but I am done with that because of the general vote direction of that group.
Apparently there is a way to give less than your normal upvote on purpose to conserve your power as well but I have not figured this out. I now know this is the case because the pay per vote whales are able to change the weight of their votes based on how much you pay them.
Yep, I think you have to have a certain amount of Steem Power before you get to control the weight of your vote. So far my vote is worth only $0.01 at 75% and 100% and nothing at 50%. Where the threshold is, is unknown to me at this time. Edit: If you go on steemworld (dot) org there is a slide labeled "voting value" that you can grab and move around. I can go down to 71% at this time.
Thanks for the information, that site is nicely programmed but I am opting to keep my keys private for now and vote with my normal percentage and I wonder if the next version of steem (non-beta) will have this vote weight changing feature?
{edit- at least the account displays an easier to navigate followers list though}
Yes, it's an easy way to keep track of comments, responses, payouts and such. Especially with comments, I find it to be the quickest way to stay informed as to who is active. Happy new year!
