The biggest problem that Splinterlands has right now is that there is a massive oversupply in cards, This makes it so that everyone who 'invested' money in the game got completely wrecked, The sentiment is at an all-time low, players are leaving, nobody is willing to buy packs since it's a sure thing that their values will fall off a cliff once they get dumped into Wild. This is also hurting the SPS price, which has only decreased more during the bull market.
The last thing we need is for even more cards to be created. Instead what should be done is allow for the unlocking of Soulbound cards with one of the requirements for a similar type card to be burned so the total supply doesn't inflate more combined with some heavy Collection Power Requirements in Wild.
At least some one with a sensible comment. The insanity of thinking to print more cards....
I'm putting together a proposal for 2 promo cards that can only be bought by burning cards. Its like burn 1500 CP for one rare BCX or 15,000 CP for one legendary BCX. Matt said he'd support it. Although this proposal might have just made that one less likely to go through.
I understand how this might compete, but in my case I would evaluate each one separately. I'm interested to see what you put out. I also hope we don't have to vote for one or the other, I hope they can both stand on their own merits and purpose.
I showed my support by participating in the recent Halving event. Of course I'm already in the red with that one.
