RE: Burn cards for Rift Watchers packs (EDITED TO MATT'S PROPOSAL for a burn event)

in #spsproposal β€’ last year (edited)

Thanks for letting me know. Everything is so weird πŸ˜‚. When I was talking to Matt about changing the proposal, he already knew it was something he wanted to do after Rebellion. So when he said this was the perfect opportunity to set that up in his comment, I assumed that was factored in already. And then he voted for the proposal.

Maybe he's changing his mind due to feedback from the whales who've voted it down.

Anyway, this has long left being my idea. When Matt chimed in when an entirely different idea than mine and then the Splinterlands Twitter account actively promoted that the proposal was interesting now that Yaba gave his idea, it split the vote and made it almost impossible for mine to pass. Then Matt told me mine was impossible to implement in time so it no longer mattered if it did pass.

So my options were to cancel it or use my burned DEC to try to help Matt with an idea I didn't even particularly agree with. What I wanted to avoid was the long shot where my proposal passed as it was and they couldn't implement it and that upset the community. So, if he wants to do his later with more info, that's fine with me. This one seems doomed at this point anyway. πŸ€·β€β™‚

Anyway, thank you for being kind @davemccoy. I realize the timing has been wonky on this proposal but this has been an experience that I'm ready to be done with. If I get no more DMs on discord chastising me for Matt's idea being just for whales or destructive to the little guy, I'll be fine with that πŸ‘

haha... I 100% agree, doing a proposal is like offering to be a punching bag. Even when there was 90% approval on one of my props, I still had endless negativity and trolling to deal with. Not fun at all.

I feel for you on this one because I like your concept in general. I think we will eventually get something passed as well. I particularly like the graveyard approach, even thought that will take even more time and resources to develop.

Good job again!
