Time for another quick insight into Steemit market dynamics. This time, the question is: Who is powering up?
I have compiled the data from Sept. 1st - Sept 11th for further review.
Overview
The daily power-ups range between 10k and 40k STEEM a day, with the mean of 26,120 STEEM a day.
During the observed 10 day period, 849 users powered up a cumulative total of 316,711 STEEM.

Note
I have found a weird issue, where some power-ups have no to
field. I have used from
field in those cases.

Does anyone know why this happens?

sssh... I'm trying to power up on the down-low. You're blowing everyone's cover! :)
There are so many ways to misrepresent any info...
So, how many/how much are people powering up WITHOUT before powering down?
Thank you for that reminder. I appreciate it.
This transaction just spoils all statistics:
"transfer_to_vesting" from "steemit" to "lofojobee" amount 200,000.000 STEEM
https://steemd.com/tx/877d4e12b79b9058e548a97ccbef368ab71b159a
Do you know why steemit sent 200,000 SP to @lofojobee ? Who is @lofojobee? Steemit's curator?
He is a new team member, @ned confirmed
Update
I've just noticed I forgot to update the data table in Overview. The total power-up is 316,711 and not 287,320.
The old number is lower, as I didn't know about
to
bug right away. Once countered, the numbers became accurate.Everything i ever earned here went to steem power. Steem power is good boys.
nice info @furion as always 8]
Well, activity finally ticked up today to 5,300/13,400 users (1 day/7 day). Good news. You need to throw out whales and be more specific like... new users + that post + power up significant amounts. Only that means anything as whales keep cashing out.
This post is going to skyrocket to the moon!
People are becoming dolphins overnight! Check Ben & DV :)
I have been at least. :)
That's some heavy powering up going on.
Thanks for the informative post!
wow, great stats! Nice to see @dollarvigilante powering up like there is no tomorrow! :D
Well, I wasn't before, but I think I will power up now. Great post! After all the negative comments, posts, and trash I've gone through in SteemIt, it's good to hear some positive notes.
Many Korean users power up, I think. ^^ Well.. I guess they are so aggressive to get SP more and more, it looks a kind of investing their assets. https://steemit.com/kr/@leesunmoo/leesunmoo-1 <- Even written in Korean language, you can guess they disscuss about Steem Power Up in Kr category
Very nice @furion! I love your work. Thank you for sharing this with us man!
Great stats. I was looking for this one.
Now I know the top power up members.
I cannot play in their league yet, but eventually will get there. I am on my way....

Good info to have
I also start STEEM flows monitoring. I think it is good to have a whole picture, but not only vesting flow. The operations stats for last 22 hours (~26k blocks):
current_block: 4913425 (#26287) time_stamp: 2016-09-12T19:13:30 (22:01:30) pow2_count: 1254 (avg: 20.9 blocks, each 0:01:03.19) transfers: 1067 to_exchange: 142 (35894 STEEM, 11335 SBD) from_exchange: 72 (23334 STEEM, 26355 SBD) between_users: 676 between_exchanges: 53 to_null: 124 (638 SBD) vesting: 125 (33165 STEEM) withdraw: 33 (2581559422 VESTS) convert: 49 (0 STEEM, 11516 SBD)
You could see that vesting is not a main trend. There are a lot of withdraws as well. STEEM flow out to exchanges, but interesting that more SBD than STEEM is returning from exchanges.
I hope you will keep this updated daily
This info is important to have
upvoted and followed
This is good news. It means it's being invested and held long-term in the platform, rather than being cashed out. That's something that some people, I think, miss when I try to explain the system to them and they chalk it out as a pump-and-dump. Steem Power is not liquid and can't simply be traded off. Dan and Ned are in the same boat as everyone else if they were to try to dump all of their stock and sell it for profit. This is encouraging, to see more people investing.
Guess that means I'm on the right track with powering up myself :D
Me too! I am powering up, and it only makes sense right now.
