Comments have their own independent payout time.

So, my understanding is that when a comment is created, it starts it's own 7 day payout period. Then they are similar to posts (after closed) that they can accept votes and replies, but wont garner any more payout.
ah i see... that makes sense, comments seem to be treated like posts on the blockchain. Thanks!
