I think we should gather both of the berry plants, and cautiously rub a small amount of juice on our wrists. If, after an hour, there's no reaction, I'll put a small amount of juice in my mouth.
If, after 15 minutes, there's no reaction, I'll eat one berry. If, after a day, there's no reaction, I'll eat more.

I definitely don't want to eat the leaves. I know what those are for sure. I think both the berry plants might be edible. It's a toss up for me. Also, do we know what part of the world we're in?
