Before I get the ball rolling on this one, at the end of this read, I would like to hear what it is you think the likely hoods are with the steemit community at the comment section of this post.
It’s been over ten years since the mother blockchain protocol The Bitcoin came into the web-sphere, and like wild fire, the blockchain is finding root deep into everything represented on the internet and even beyond.
We’ve all been hearing several speculations on what toll this blockchain evolution is likely to take. In all this the one word that seems to bind all of the blockchain initiative is
“IT CHANGES THE WAY WE TRUST AND EXCHANGE (Capish?)”
Down here on the steem blockchain in almost two years, we have seen several cool features latching onto the steem blockchain. But in this post, we would only be considering those changes on the steemit frontend. We would look at those features that are likely to come into steemit.com and not the steem blockchain.
Whatever your guess or mine, the one feature that makes the steemit community highly dynamic besides being decentralized, and independent of individual control, is that– It’s Open source, Which makes it very open to change and modification, even beyond the confines of an intelligent guess like this one.
Here are some features that are likely to get latched on this steaming space-ship:
MORE CMS FEATURES WOULD BE COMING INTO THE BLOG AND VLOG SECTION OF THE STEEM FRONTEND.
If you’ve ever owned or managed a CMS blog built on systems like wix and wordpress or for those who only get to see a site from the frontend interface, you would know that there are a lot of features that if included in steemit.com would make it the perfect replica of the next generation blog.
No more hosting plan, no more SEO fees and headaches to get ranked. Plus all information on the blockchain is immutable. All you need do is keep your password safe.FREELANCING FEATURES ARE LIKELY TO COME IN.
on sites like upwork, fiverr, craiglist and several other freelancing platforms on the web, the centralized control, high escrow charges, and difficult rules that make it impossible for certain nationalities to apply for certain jobs, all contribute in making it a great idea for this freelancing initiative to be built on a blockchain, and with the way the steemit community functions, starting off or including such functionalities into the network would be one welcome by a large percentage of the steemit family.ADVERTISMENT FEATURES ARE LIKELY TO COME IN.
Sites like youtube and facebook make, almost if not, all their money from running Ads, with the valuable contents that you and I make available on the network.
Beyond the amount we make from upvotes, spotting the best posts, and resteeming, if AD features are included into the blog and vlog section, content providers can even make more money from running Ads on their pages and post.
I mean, the steemit community was built to leverage on the foundation already set by facebook and reddit. The only difference is that steemit is designed to benefit the users and not just the developers, so such feature would be considered as one within the steem’s primary objective.ESCROW SERVICES ARE LIKELY TO COME IN.
If we have freelancing and AD services going on in the community, the need for escrow services, either human, electronic, or both, would be more than necessary, to bring such features to light.STEEM PAGES AND GROUPS WOULD LIKELY BE INCLUDED INTO THE SYSTEM
On facebook it is called a page or a group and on reddit it is called a subreddit. The truth about steemit is that, it was built to leverage on the backdrops of the existing social media platforms we have. In my opinion, this network hasn’t started living its full dream if it hasn’t transcended the heights that have been reached by sites like facebook, reddit, and youtube. I mean! As a writer, the first time I heard there was a blockchain based network where I could earn money doing what I consider one of my favorite hobbies, just got me salivating.CLASSIFIED AD FEATURE ARE LIKELY TO COME IN
While this is likely not to be on the steemit frontend, but on a different interface still on the steemit blockchain, the relationship users share amongst themselves on the steem community, having a classified ad site feature would be a great idea, especially for users within the same geographical location.
I would have to stop here for now, by now if you’ve never thought of any of these possibilities, I am sure your mind would be rolling out several ideas; that is actually the inspiration behind this post– to get us thinking of the rule book with this one.
So let’s get the comment party started …
