Steem Deposits/Withdrawals re-enabled on OpenLedger for Decentralized Trading

in #steem8 years ago

OpenLedger temporarily disabled Steem deposits and withdrawals during the hack of steemit, but it is once again accepting Steem deposits for trading against Bitcoin, BitShares, Ether, and other popular cryptocurrencies.

Will you guys enable STEEM to Bitcoin trades again?

Thank you for your transparency during this process of dealing with the small hack.

Any estimate on when it's re-enbled?

Greetings @Blocktrades,

I was wondering if you could help me out with an inconvenient that I'm having. I've been using steemit recently and I'm learning this whole new process of cryptocurrencies and I've earned some SBD but when I go to blocktrades.us its not giving me the option to transfer SBD or STEEM to Bitcoins, a list of several cryptocurrencies appear but not STEEM or SBD.
but if I want to buy STEEM or SBD its giving me the option to do so.

Could this be happening because I live in Colombia?

Thanks for your kind help!

I do appreciate the transparency, but isn't the point of decentralization is not to have central control on things like deposits and withdrawals?

Just use the market on this site and forget about OpenLedger and its fees.

@blocktrades your site https://blocktrades.us/ appears to be down or at least not functioning. Do you know what is going on?

It's working when I just checked it. Are you still having a problem getting to it?

Now it is working! Thanks so much!

That a great news there no serious thing happen 😊.

Is there any move to include STEEM in other exchanges, like GHASH, BTER, Poloniex, Kraken or Bitfinex?

Thank you so much! Good Luck To You!

'permissioned' Decentralized Trading ;)

Broadcasted 32 minutes ago, 0.0025 Bitcoin → 0.524 Steem Power
my BTC transaction info : https://btc.blockr.io/tx/info/7bb0dbead11ef58135ea9755574cec56453260eb26d1feb0038c1d240c44928d

Our Steem wallet went out of sync around this time, and a number of transactions got hung up. I checked your wallet, but it looks like someone here has already fixed the transaction and sent it to you. Sorry for the delay.

I'd really like to know how you guys manage this madness!!! big fan of your website anyway

cool news

How to withdraw steem dollar sent to openledger?

well @blocktrades, Im still waiting: 7 hours ago transfer 1.000 SBD to blocktrades btc:1CXaHAShTYtaKCQbpydBDpL7t8fWERoCed

SBD was disabled on BlockTrades since just before last hardfork. We hope to resume trading SBD->BTC tomorrow if all goes well. When we do, we can scan back and find your transaction.

It all makes sense now.

Is there a way to deposit Steem from an exchange directly to my account?

Yes, just send it to your account name.

It would be great if you supported my charity event: https://steemit.com/steemit/@jennamarbles/a-new-stage-in-the-development-of-steem-now-we-can-do-more
I believe that we can help people with STEEM.

Thank you. Good Luck to You!

It is any manual ot simple guide how to exchange steem to bitcoins, etc?
Thank you in advance as they are lots of new people who would benefit from easy to digest knowledge. Thank you :)

OpenLedger.info does not work on hardened/defensive browsers. Gives the error:

Can't access local storage. Please make sure your browser is not in private/incognito mode

It seems their website is totally useless (not even a discussion forum) for users who don't have loosely secured browser.

Are there any FLOSS apps that can be used to access @openledger instead of a browser?

You want to use the "light wallet" instead of the web browser-based one, I think: https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/releases

Thanks. I don't generally like to trust packages that are not in an official Debian repository.

Maybe I'll check it out anyway.
