What's interesting about this is the amount of misinformation on that thread about steem or steemit.
Not only that, the steempower wallet is locked for like a year or 2 to power down and claim so he can transfer the funds.
And it appears that most users' negative perception of steemit and its voting system hasn't changed much.
What do you think is the best reference regarding getting a person not on Steamit to understand the whole 'powering down' (isn't there a note on each user's wallet that powering down is a couple of days?)
Just tell them hard forks are like game patchlogs and that it got changed in a past fork to 13 weeks instead of over 100 weeks.
