So I guess - thanks to @trevonjb for being so scammy.

Oh and I wonder who DestroyerOfShitCoins is on STEEM - since he def. has a STEEM-Account. One of his previous screenshots shows a unfollow-link, which is only there if someone is logged in.

Assuming by the type of comments we can see on Reddit thread, there is no clue from the rest of the world about what Steem or Steemit are.

Reddit users are making fun on things like "Steam" the video games retail sellers instead of taking note on what Steem is, or to at least look to why a guy like him made such a big investment there.

This is the top comment with 12xx votes;

i thought you meant STEAM WALLET i was like wtf this guy takes his gaming very seriously

There is a huge need of making a PR campaign for Steem paid by everybody and also to make Steemit more accessible to non-blockchain people.

Adapt to survive...

I most certainly agree with the last part you said. Maby it should be a commitment for all of us to invest more in that project of getting non blockchain people into the steem community.
This would eventually benefit us all.💪

I totally agree with that @santana33, this why I am spreading the news among my acquittance.

@mrgranville and @alexandraioana26 I am currently paying out of my pocket a small Twitter campaign to make more visible my articles on Steemit. Would love to do something bigger, results are almost immediate.

Hey every little bit helps lol

I basically spammed tai-lopez live chat (well kinda) the other day to get him just to mention Steemit and it worked lol I will post a video of it soon. Every time I can get a celeb to mention it the better.

As far as Trevon.... "truce".

Congrats @truce!!!

I had to look twice to make sure this was actually posted in the cryptocurrency subreddit. Man, those comments are pretty ridiculous to say the least.

Well at least there isn't such a thing as bad publicity...

Interesting. Do you think he knew what was going on with BCC or was unaware?

What's interesting about this is the amount of misinformation on that thread about steem or steemit.

Not only that, the steempower wallet is locked for like a year or 2 to power down and claim so he can transfer the funds.

And it appears that most users' negative perception of steemit and its voting system hasn't changed much.

What do you think is the best reference regarding getting a person not on Steamit to understand the whole 'powering down' (isn't there a note on each user's wallet that powering down is a couple of days?)

Just tell them hard forks are like game patchlogs and that it got changed in a past fork to 13 weeks instead of over 100 weeks.

This is the link where I was able to get tai lopez to mention us lol!!!

@therealwolf

thanks for information....well post.

Well, It's not me.

or is it?.. ;)

Every story has two sides.

Oops! I sent @smartmarket 3 SBD. but it didn't vote for me. plz check.

I really like your post, and I hope you post again.

Could it be a brand issue? The names (Steem the currency and Steam the gaming platform) are so close together that...they could be confused by newbies? :(

It's not very catchy, no, and the steam platform already has dominant mindshare for use of the term so I have no idea why a misspelled version of it was chosen for a cryptocurrency name. And steemit doesn't even make sense, reddit implies you "read it" whereas steemit... yeah, no.

I wonder if he knew that putting all of that money in to Steem Power locked it in for a bit. It would be pretty funny if he did now.

I saw he just got his wife on here. They honestly seem like decent people, I want to accept them. I really do. Maybe it is because I was not affected at all by the BitConnect shilling.

Any publicity is good publicity?

Btw - I finally got to adding a small amount of delegation to smart steem. I'll add as i can.

I never felt good about TJ when I first came across his blog here. Stayed far away from his videos as well, he just never "clicked" with me. Good riddance and thanks for promoting steem!
