Your opinion is very solid and welcomed...however remember that in steem ecosystem there are steem , steem dollars and steem power. I was refering the steem dollars which people will always spend as most people dont power all up. Most people convert their SBD to bitcoin and spend it via bitcoin debit card so having our own platform and debit card might add value to the ecosystem and thus increase the value of steem.
In life, smart people will always know the power of long term investment and no matter what you do, others will spend all their earned coin. Do you know that some people here started last year when steem was very cheap and still they are under 500 steem power? haha . Thanks for your comment

@charles1 if it is just SBD then that is a slightly different scenario. However, to be honest I still do not think that I would be comfortable being that people could just transfer then Steem to SBD where it could be used. Just my opinion, but this is a good topic and it is good to see everyone's thought process on it.
Good point @mrwalt I agree. However, note that Payza ,´and Bitwala are offering such service for steem holders...innovation is key to success. I think that debate is great for brainstorming.
@charles1 I think that it is good that the technology exists and I'm not totally opposed to a debit card for Steem. However, I would like to see Steem consistently above $2 price for about 6 months before something like this rolled out (I just want to see the price of Steem stabilize first). Just my opinion
Good point. I even wish the price of steem to be 20 USD+ by end of next year..fingers crossed
@charles1 if Steemit does everything that they say that they are going to do like allowing people to sign up like you can with other sites, and etc it is a huge possible.
Fingers crossed...
@charles1 even though I'm not fully onboard with the idea it would still be pretty cool to see.
