The self vote will not help anyone doing it much. But it's a free decentralised social media platform, so I guess people have the right to upvote whosoever they want including themselves. Though not a fan of self voting as I think I have only voted for myself once :)
Steem on ✌️
Upvoting yourself once or twice is not really the issue... Making it a habit is where the problem is. It should not even be done at all, though its a free world.
It's a free world and steemit allowed it. If not they'll be a code to prevent self upvoting :) Steemit is still on beta. Loads of improvements ahead.
I'm glad we agree✌️
Writing a code to stop that takes away the freedom that the blockchain offers. They don't want to gag us. We should be able to do the right thing.
Thanks for your contribution.
Much respect!
✌️
Yeah, take a look at this proposal
by a steemian, @mattclarke, I think if implemented it'll help in solving the issue of self upvotes or at least make it less lucrative once and for all.
Thanks... I've gone through it. @mattclarke share the same view that i hold about rewarding curators more to discourage self upvoting.
But then we should also note the fact that minnows like me with very little SP will gain little or nothing from curation rewards...
You are right. The less the SP the less the curating value. The other way of getting a faster SP is to buy and power up. Or lease SP.
Thanks for the info. I will consider powering up soonest.
I'm following you now. It's really nice to have a Nigerian who has an in depth understanding of how the steemit community works.
