This is very interesting. I am not sure I am onboard with the fee idea, but SBD is in a bit of an odd position currently. It is not even being pegged currently. So, basically just have two currencies floating around steemit... I would just like it if we could strengthen the peg as I believe a pegged currency is a great tool to have. Especially in times of price depreciation of the more volatile Steem.
