Tips from a Whale 🐳 about Investing in Steemit Real Estate

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

It was funny watching my Whale buddy eat filet o fish

while explaining the new idea behind earning in steem. Up until now, most of my knowledge about steem came from YouTube clips and old steemit post. Applying some of the tips that I was trying to show to my Whale buddy had not been working out as planned.
“These methods aren’t as effective anymore. You need to think how McDonald’s thought back in the day when beginning to expand.”

The money isn’t in the product, it’s in the land the product is sold on. The two go hand in hand, but eventually it is the land, or in my case, my blog that is the true money maker. The overall quality of content must improve.

You make your land valuable by learning the art of curating. This will improve your blog and welcome the true steemian investors.

“Being a Whale,” my friend explained, “is about investing steem wisely. Just like buying fine art you must take your time and shop in the correct place.”

Improve the quality of your blog by studying the regular trending whales. Resteem, comment on the 20th Minute, and find complementary work to share 6 hours after.

My Whale friend went on to say you must also understand how to increase your Financial SP IQ. You should be heavy in SP, period.

There is one more point in regards to networking with other curators. He said he would discuss it with me at our next meeting. And like that my session had ended.

I will update you the next time we talk. I really hope this helped someone out there. If so, please upvote and resteem. I will keep a list of who does, and be generous as my status on steem improves...promise.

its all about the starting conditions of the system. Put in 10k and you dont need the best content. Put in 100k and make some "Technical Analysis" posts and you dont even have to put time into the content. At least not the time it takes for an evidence based artikel.

Nice post. It certainly looks like you've got the right idea. Like you, I was reading any kind of guide I could get my hands on when I signed up recently. A lot of the tips are very outdated, and go back to a time when there were many less content creators all looking to get noticed.

Content is definitely King on Steemit. If you post worthwhile posts and comments, you'll get noticed. My strategy has been to reinvest any post earnings into SP. I'm here for the long term, and am excited to see what can be achieved.

Following along with interest!

This is a very nice and amusing idea. I am new here and I plan to stay for long term. It's always good to see people with good content. Content is all what matters. Best of luck.
