Today I want to tell you, why I believe that Steems price will rise soon. I prepared some reason for this:
1.Steem is much more usable than most other cryptocurrencies.
Let's take for exmample the top 5 cryptos on CMC: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple and Litecoin.
BTC, BCH, and LTC: The only thing those currencies can do is transacting money. (And Bitcoin is struggling ot do so)
Ripple: Afaik it also is there to make money transactions, but I'm not sure, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Ethereum: It has one advantage over the other currencies and that is smart contracts. (But with the latest events with the CryptoKittie game it is also struggling to keep transactions cheap and fast)
So Steem has the fastest (3 seconds) transactions of them all and they are free! With Steem you can do escrow transactions. The Steem Blockchain is able to save text, thus making websites like Steemit possible. The users of it get rewarded. Steem has DPOS (delegated proof of stake) which is much more efficient than proof of work and also making the short transaction times possible.
2.The Steem Backed Dollar (SBD) price is very high at moment.
The reason for this is afaik that some Korean exchange added Steem and SBD to it and the interest in SBD and Steem is very high apparantly. What this shows is that many new users or investors are discovering Steemit and Steem. This leads us to my third point.
3.Many big and well-known creators are joining Steemit.
@davidpakman is running a campaign where he is recruiting many big creators to Steemit. Over four people joined just after some days. Here you can read his post in which he is explaining what he is doing. Also check out @jerrybanfield he is doing SO MUCH to promote Steemit.
4.Articles posted on the Steem Blockchain can't be deleted
In a world, where especially the European countries like Germany are increasing their internet censoring many people will seek for places where they can express their opinion. For example look at YouTube (at least in the German one) many videos that are anti-government or critical get deleted and the channels get striked.
So to make a conclusion: If Steem had the same market capitalization as Bitcoin and the same supply as it has now, Steem would be worth 1325$. Sounds incredible right? Well if we take a look at the usability of Bitcoin vs. Steem, Steem should be worth more than Bitcoin.
That's why I think the Steem price will rise, it is imo the most undervalued cryptocurrency out there. Of course we have our problems on the platform, but ̶i̶̶f̶ when people see the value behind it the price will rise!

People told you in 2005 Facebook would go viral and be a big thing one day.

I don't think holding all your steem is the correct answer, you need to spend some of it so the rest can have any value.
Holding a bag of steem will only make nobody using it.
Of course that's right, but like with fiat money it is always good to have some reserves for the case that Steem will rise.
In agreement - coinbase (bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum) are the door to get people into crypto and blockchain - but I'm going to focus more in 2018 is promoting coins and projects that utilize the blockchain - steem and library are 2 that do that!
That's right. Steem could theoretically be used for that too. Someone need to start and that is the problem. Steem is also a good way to get people into crypto without actually buying coins.

Dtube is going to be the next youtube It's just not mainstream right now, also steemit will skyrocket when more people starts to come here
